Still spring over here in Australia, but I loved watching your experiments with berries! I’ve tried turmeric before, onion skin water, & have dyed cloth for slow stitching with eco-dying of eucalyptus leaves & with solar dying of eucalyptus & rosemary. I’ve also seen a Dutch lady on here use water that spinach has been cooked in, & beetroot water for her journal paper, & people also use avocados for paper & fabric, but I’ve never seen berries used before, so was absolutely rapt. Thank you! 🌻
What fun Liz. I would never have thought about smashing the berries. I would have boiled them and made a dye. I did that with oak leaves the other week and dyed a whole bunch of papers and some fabrics. It was fun to see what colors the berries produced. 🩷🩷🩷
Hi Helen. There’s so many ways to experiment with nature for art. There’s a gal here in Laramie that makes paint out of our soil around here. Amazing! Blessings, Liz
💜🎶Good evening Liz .. wow vibrant.. I've only died with coffee water and the water from avocado skins boiled .. i sure do love seeing the purple .. thanks for sharing🍒 💜🎶🇨🇦
Hi Caroline. That purple makes me so happy! 😃 I want to make a water dye with those berries at some point. When I dyed with avocado I was surprised at how pink it turned out. Beet water gives a good pink as well. Blessings, Liz

Ooo. Those are some good ideas. I’ve done beets and avocados before and that was fun. Blessings, Liz.
