Nah, I only got my first SSR after playing for 1.5 years and my tutorial servant was Stheno. Maybe I was just unlucky, who knows.
I had 2 accounts in 2015. One got Waver (when he stilllllll suckssss) and Atalanta
2nd got Jeanne, and Martha early on. I trashed the 1st and kept the 2nd, still playing fgo with the 2nd account.

Tbh, imo JP has better rates overall. I roll for Himiko in NA, it cost 550 SQ for one of her. Then, she got a banner as well in JP. I rolled there ofc since my acc's still new, 90 SQ later, she heed my summon.
I just stated playing in JP this anniversary, but the number of SSRs I wanted and got there is astounding.

As an F2P, that's too expensive. And it's 30 multipull actually, which equals to 900 SQ afaik.
I hope I'd never reach that and Himiko will be my one and only experience to spend 500+ SQ for just one servant.

Same, at least in FGO. My gacha luck in FGO has been god tier since about last November. Most recently I just decided to throw some tickets at Himiko on a whim, she was home in 7 I think. And that's after pulling ALL of the new summer units without spending a dime. I would say I'm waiting for the crash, but honestly it's just been that FGO has been syphoning all my gacha luck away from Priconne where I've had to pity two of the last 3 servants I went after.
I have about 4 months in the game and I'm F2P, so I was ECSTATIC to pick up both Castoria and Rider Da Vinci on that one banner. I was saving most of my SQ for that specific thing, but still. Then this week I decided to roll a few times for Himiko... and got her!! And got spooked by OG Artoria to boot!
To be clear, by the numbers, I haven't been THAT lucky, but when you're even just a bit unlucky and F2P, it can get REALLY ugly. This is what I mean: if you're rolling on a banner 5*, you need to spend about 240 SQ (8 multis) for a 50/50 chance, a dice flip. But you have about a 1-in-3 chance to get it in 120 SQ, a little bit lucky... but then you still have 120 SQ to roll on the next banner.
BUT it's not difficult to imagine flipping a coin and getting tails 3 times in a row, not very surprising, not that rare... but that's 720 SQ! TONS of people are rolling tens of multis and missing Castoria completely. Imagine being F2P, saving 700+ SQ, and ending up empty-handed. OOF. Probably a lot of those F2P players are just gone from FGO.
So even if I get unlucky in the next few banners, I already have a solid few 5*s to rely on, so it doesn't hurt nearly as bad. That is the FGO gacha experience.

There are times when you wanna ask God "Why?"
Players usually have no faith in Single Pulls (for good reasons), but almost all of the 5* I got were from Single Pulls, some of them even got them at first Ticket, like Merlin and Jalter
It's because, multi skews the RNG abit to get a 4* CE instead. While singles doesn't have skewing, since there's no bonuses.
Same. I also got most of my SSRs in the toilet. They don't call it the "throne" of heroes for no reason.
Since you've mentioned tickets, I have noticed that tickets somehow have a higher chance of rolling Servants than CEs when compared to SQs since most of my SSR Servants were ticket pulls. (The ones that can remember are Ecchan and Oberon.)
But then again, I almost exclusively do single pulls for almost 4 years straight as a money saving strategy and only multi-pulled during my first year on F/GO and the 7th anniversary.
Same here. I do get tempted to try doing multis when i see people get several 5 star in 2 multi, but i always go back to singles since i get nothing but minrolls out of 10 rolls
afte discovering that a lot of my ssr come from singles and not multi, i've been doing singles for almost 2 years (or more can't remember) and i've been getting all the servants i wanted

That's how I got Dioscuri, ROMA, Gil, Okitan, Ishtar, and the wonderboy Voyager. While Bradamante, Schehe, Da Vinci, Kintoki, Hijikata, Old Li just spooked me. Then my luck ran out and never got Castoria.
