As soon as the beginning buildup of the song happens, I can already feel the tears coming. I remember I watched a Japanese playthrough of the ending of Explorers of Sky and I STILL cried. I played the game so many times that I knew what was going on despite the game being in a totally different language.

Shoga: Shashu, no! You don't need to prove anything, just come back with me! Tears started to flow from his eyes. Shashu gentlly shook her head. Shashu: I'm sorry, say hi to mom and dad for me, will you? Shoga:No, Shashu, NO! I CHANGE MY MIND, I DON'T WANNA LEAVE YET! PUT ME DOWN DAMMIT!SHASHUUUU!!!! Shashu painfully turned her head away as she faced Torchic and Pikachu. Shashu: Lets go guys. Shoga soon enough woke up in a hospital bed, suddenly being hugged by his parents. Mom:Oh, Shoga! Thank goodness. You and Shashu were both struck by lightning. Dad: The power cables were hit as your game system was still plugged in, you both were sent into a coma. Shoga slowly turned to see his sister sleeping in a bed close to his, still wearing a breathing mask. Shoga: Shashu? Tears flowing down his eyes once more...
I saw this in the pokemusic playlist on this channel, clicked on it becasye I didnt recognize the title but it was from PMDE (my favorite game) and I couldn't find it under either of the other names and nearly cries hearing this rendition of this song

Squirtle floats into the sky. the light is gone, and so is Squirtle.. but the journey has to continue. Riolu goes back to Treasure Town and The Guild, and tells the tale wherever and whenever possible. Months later, Riolu goes back to the beach, where they first met Squirtle, and as they find their memories returned, They start to cry. Bidoof arrives, wondering what is happening. as Bidoof approaches Riolu to ask what is going on.. Riolu falls down, as a sea of tears slowly fall down their face. Dialga, sensing Riolu's strong wish, asks Arceus a favor. and so, Squirtle is returned. the tears of sadness slowly turn into tears of happiness. Squirtle is happy they were able to return. Everything continues like nothing happened. and Squirtle and Riolu soon discover that they must pass the Guild's graduation exam! As the adventures continue... Sorry for bad story telling or spelling mistakes (English is not my first language). EDIT: I am really bad at this, but I will leave this comment to make future me look at this extremely cringe comment with disgust. I hate this already.
If you still haven't played it yet, I advise you do. Either get a legit copy or emulate it, this game is fantastic. There are some problems, but the pros heavily outweigh the cons in my opinion.
@@NobleLeader6 FINALLy got around to getting a copy of Sky, and hopefully, I'll start it later this week. I've played some mystery dungeon games in the past (specifically the 3ds ones) and I'm ready to give this one a chance
@@vanaah727 the 3ds ones? They have a more balanced gameplay, but story and character wise I'll take explorers any day. Most people from what I've seen agree -explorers sold more copies than any other PMD.
