Your superficial treatment of this topic omits/covers up more of the problems than it actually addresses. You managed to make an entire video about college sports without once noting the obvious fact that they subsidize professional sports by serving as a publically-funded "feeder" organization whereby the professionals don't have to be bothered with developing talent. Of course, this is most obvious in the big money sports of basketball and football - the latter inextricably linked to the Cold War. Perhaps this lack of insight can be ascribed to the fact that you spent as much time (or more?) writing inane dialog for an advertisement that < 5% of your viewers are ever likely to "take advantage of." There is no escape from ads
“I’m allergic to money. It makes me sneeze and cough. *fake sneeze and cough*”
🤣🤣💀
00:24 That trip over the cable on the way to set sold the authenticity and the honesty of the ad 😂😂😂
That's everyday in production
Here in the Philippines, some of our UAAP student-athletes make more money than their professors and deans.
Playing what sport?

I can't wait until Honest Ads drops their sponsor and does an actual video on these terrible meals.
That would take us paying money and well…
Sports are SO corrupt. My city has decayed water piped and crumbling bridges and yet they spent a vast fortune building a new football stadium, using tax money meant for infrastructure.
Roger your a national treasure keep it up 😃
From inception to Ad-ception 😁Italians in the 60s had proved with the show "Carosello" that people actually queued up to watch ads as long as they were entertaining. Nice to see the concept hasn't died out.
Accepting sponsorship.
The logical thing to do. I'll continue watching. Thanks for the fantastic content over the years.
"Honest" ads suddenly becoming a lot less honest by including sponsorships for crappy food order cons.
And now we wait for Hello Fresh / Factor 75 to have a fallout with them and then they retaliate with "If Premade Delivery Foods Were Honest"
You're a strong man to take all that money on and tell us how it is Roger. Respect!
So they are actually advertising a company they would normally be ripping to shreds, oh how the mighty have fallen.😢
I like how Roger's salary increases every time he mentions it.
ROGER: I'm allergic to money
ME: But not with digital money and credits
I can't get over your youtube subscription tiers.
"Horton-lite"
"Horton-heavy"
"Horton Premium"
Imagine the 1st min of your video being an ad for a crappy company that you will undoubtedly (if you haven't already) do an honest ad for their service
I can't imagine Factor getting much value out of this partnership, considering the average honest add viewer being highly sceptical when it comes to adds for bad deals
2 Maccabees 4:10
“Which when the king had granted, and he had gotten into his hand the rule he forthwith brought his own nation to Greekish fashion.”
“student ath-o-letes”
"I'd be willing to offer you $40 for 2 of the white ones, and $50 for the blacks!"
"and whatever the hell cricket is"
Stay classy, Roger! 🇦🇺
0:32 The honesty isn’t the issue to me, it’s that I end up thinking this is a parody of how other stuff starts and assuming the product isn’t real and is a parody of something shitty😂
Schools are sports corporations who hand out education classes as a side hustle
Honest ads has finally gone full meta. If honest ads were honest it’s be like a snake eating its own tail OR a man eating his own a**. It’s all relative
My local grocery store has pre-made meals. No shipping
Ah the beautiful irony of a sponsored ad in an Honest Ads video.
Honest Ads: We're Honest, So Long As You're Not Paying Us.
Into the garbage you go, next to your frozen tv dinners.
I'm looking forward to the "If ads for [frozen delivery meals brand] were honest". Seriously, really a distraction from the expected content.
when i hear 50% + free drinks for life is, damn, they must have a humongous .. markup
Dude, I would watch sports seriously if there was a team called the Chimeras. Also, why no Fightin' Manticores? Or Owlbears? Untapped market people! Get on it!
where can i buy that HAT that says "sports" lol
Roger hocking a product before an honest ad? Well I for one am disillusioned.😕
The fake allergy coughs cracked me up dead xD
If prepared meals ads were honest…
They brought rodger back to save themselves. Now they are dragging his stuff through the mud too.
Will their next video be "If Honest Ads Were Honest"?
👀
I can listen to this guy talk about literally anything 😂
I was waiting for a "What if meal prep companies were honest?" video. I wasn't expecting this lol.
Just wait until he does an honest ad for "if youtubers were honest about their ad sponsors."
3:13 Nekko wafer is the perfect analogy for the token of appreciation given to hard workers. it's fragile, consumable, artificial, unhealthy junk. citizens devote their lives to enriching CEOs with real value such as property, materials, and interests. everybody else just works to survive, not accrue value.
Wow. So even Honest Ads can be bought. That's depressing.
Holy crap! I just saw the WVU Coliseum in an Honest Ad! Lets Go!!!
Do honest ad for Factor, once their agreement with you expires. :D
Go Chimeras!!! LOLOL
$200k/yr for commissioner: Ok that seems reasonable, where's the catch? Stock options as usual?
Commisioner is also a $10mil/yr coach: Ah, there's the rub. How's that not a conflict of interest?
College sports teams should be spun off as separate corporations. That way the players could be employees with health insurance. It would insulate college students from paying into sports teams (that are just training grounds for multi-billion dollar companies), it would remove pressure from professors to pass failing athletes and keep tuition and taxes lower. It would lower liabilities to universities and state governments. It would also end the embarrassment of the coaches being some of the highest paid state employees. Let "free markets" do their thing when it comes to funding teams and coaches.
They’re not kids. They’re 18 year old adults, fully aware of what they’re signing up for. Just like the military and every other 18 year old adult who signs a contract. Now do government subsidies to college tuition and how the costs have exploded.
I guess if others can't make money - you just have to do it for them. That's a tough job indeed.
