"OMG! They're ripping off Kpop!" Yeah, because a bunch of girls dancing in a music video and singing a pop song has NEVER been done before, right? As a fan of music all over the world, I don't understand all these comparisons, especially when everyone's just reinventing the wheel at the end of the day. But for Kpop fans who INSIST on making the comparison, you can't deny that if you made these girls dance next to pretty much any Kpop group, E-girls would blow them out of the water. They go hard with their choreo.
I've a feeling that Japanese music industry should promote their music oversea from the start. They don't promote and didn't post their PV in youtube like other countries that's why a lot of foreigner who didn't follow Japanese music closely always think that Jpop is all about cutesy stuff, or AKB48 blah blah blah. They have a lot of strong dancers, talent singers who never make me disappoint in their live performance. But they just stick in their country for a long time and they promote themselves after Kpop boom, and people just think that Jpop copy Kpop... Good dancer/singer=Kpop, Bad or mediocre singer/dancer=Jpop. I think before anyone comment, please learn about music industries from each countries, or at least ask with proper manner and good word. Don't judge them if you don't know anything. Jpop and Kpop are talent, their music industry, WTH!! they're really different. Japanese and Korean language sound not the same at all and it's very easy to identify. (Sigh) Please know that English is not everything!!!!! Even you don't learn other language but at least you should be able to identify the sound.
The thing I've noticed about the Japanese music industry, it seem they Don't Want foreign fans!!! Every time you find a Jpop, Jrock of Jjazz video you like on TH-cam, it's GONE a month later. The Japanese record Co's made TH-cam take it down. If we can't get access to their music = NO FANS!!!

Speed(Japanese idol) came before MM. I will say MM is in the middle. MM starts graduation ceremony for GG-Idol, but they're not the first Idol group. And also, Speed is perfect in both dancing and singing. While MM is better in variety show, but Speed is better in term of dancing and singing quality.

In girls generation dances, no two parts are actually identical which can make it difficult to learn as a group, while for E Girls all their steps are identical where they can learn the same steps. But another thing is that when E Girls Dance, u can switch the parts of two members and may not even notice the difference. E girls songs tend to have a fast beat so when they dance, they have to dance with rhythm, and they have many members, so if u add that up all together, ,alif looks intersting. But for snsd, they work as a team, rely on each other for proper formation. each dance is specifically designed for each song and each member, telling a story. Catch me if you can and I Got a Boy is a really good example. I can't say that E Girls can't dance, because they can, but, looking at the dance in detail i will say, that I have seen other groups like snsd, dance just as well or even better. Groups like Kara (Mamma Mia and Pandora) and Gfriend (Me Gustas Tu and Glassbead) which I could have made an equally as strong argument for both.

Dutch person here. l have to say that the electronic pop music l hear on the radio in my country really does not sound that different from this, apart from the language. lf it was an English language song, it could potentially be a big hit here! Furthermore these sexy and cool type of videos are also pretty much the standard in western pop music videos. K-pop is also similar to western pop like this. l guess this is the sort of global standard for pop music nowadays, rather than the influence of one country.

Jpop has been doing this kind of stuff longer than kpop, its just they keep things to themselves (they don't promo or use the web a lot to make themselves known nor do they care about it) so not many people know unless they really search for it. Japan has a lot of talented singers, songwriters, dancers etc. as is with anywhere else in the world. You just gotta want to know about it to find it so saying that kpop owns a certain genre is actually really close minded.
im 40 both kpop and jpop do their own thing in their own countries but JPOP makes it secret by making sure there are no artists shown in the west. Even in the 80s when we wanted to see jimusho groups in the USA they would cut them out of music programs that would air in the USA. WHere as KPOP did the opposite. Jpop as well as Jrock had to give a little promotion due to ANIME becoming an industry in the west and the demand for opening and ending songs. Ive been listening to jpop since the 80s and kpop since the 90s and Im italian american .. BELIEVE me i went from fan to production. Jpop can be just as closeminded. I know I deal with production people all the time. They like their formulas just as much as use foreign fans for gain

@@박지소-j2p you are right but in the 5 year decade thats the rise of asian music to become globally recognized...that was a new thing. There are always issues with production via Japan. Its just the way business is done. For example Japanese avex never played well with other production companies. BoA's or Se7en's stateside projects, so much was halted because of japanese production and their rules and restrictions onto the artists. now i have to say neither boa's or se7ens projects would have ever been funded without their japanese funding and earnings but still. Years ago in the 90s there were no japanese influences .. its very very very recent to see kpop going to japan right after BoA, Jyongri and Mink were seen as koreans in japan than more koreans went to japan and then recently vice versa. BUt yeah it happens now... (years ago it was unheard of). Believe me im a kpop fan for 20+ years and jpop fan for longer. I love both. Unique and RElatable at the same time. Thats the magic of it all

i am kinda more into K-Pop than J-Pop, but they are pretty impressive. I know Anime, manga, video games, lights novels are among one of Japan's well-known exports, as it keeps their economy going and help getting a lot of fanbases. J-Pop and J-Drama are not popular internationally at all, but still have a small niche to this day.

Actually Kpop idol system in korea was inspired from Japan's idol concept. If I'm not mistaken JPOP did this whole idol concept thing before KPOP.

原曲と比べること自体おかしく思える程E-girlsらしさが組み込まれていてすごくかっこいいと思いました。一部の方達のこのアレンジした曲を宜しく思わないというようなコメントを見ると、そんなことで価値が下がるような原曲でまたファンの質も低いバンドなんだなと思いました。

Jpop has been doing this kind of stuff longer than kpop, its just they keep things to themselves (they don't promo or use the web a lot to make themselves known nor do they care about it) so not many people know unless they really search for it. Japan has a lot of talented singers, songwriters, dancers etc. as is with anywhere else in the world. You just gotta want to know about it to find it so saying that kpop owns a certain genre is actually really close minded.
im 40 both kpop and jpop do their own thing in their own countries but JPOP makes it secret by making sure there are no artists shown in the west. Even in the 80s when we wanted to see jimusho groups in the USA they would cut them out of music programs that would air in the USA. WHere as KPOP did the opposite. Jpop as well as Jrock had to give a little promotion due to ANIME becoming an industry in the west and the demand for opening and ending songs. Ive been listening to jpop since the 80s and kpop since the 90s and Im italian american .. BELIEVE me i went from fan to production. Jpop can be just as closeminded. I know I deal with production people all the time. They like their formulas just as much as use foreign fans for gain
also side note BTW most jpop artists are korean japanese or zainichi or even korean produced. Mflo, Boa, Crystal Kay, Mink, Verbal, Tomoyasu Hotei, Yuna Ito, Jyongri, Ayumi Lee, Harumi Miyako, Miyavi and many many many more.
@@박지소-j2p you are right but in the 5 year decade thats the rise of asian music to become globally recognized...that was a new thing. There are always issues with production via Japan. Its just the way business is done. For example Japanese avex never played well with other production companies. BoA's or Se7en's stateside projects, so much was halted because of japanese production and their rules and restrictions onto the artists. now i have to say neither boa's or se7ens projects would have ever been funded without their japanese funding and earnings but still. Years ago in the 90s there were no japanese influences .. its very very very recent to see kpop going to japan right after BoA, Jyongri and Mink were seen as koreans in japan than more koreans went to japan and then recently vice versa. BUt yeah it happens now... (years ago it was unheard of). Believe me im a kpop fan for 20+ years and jpop fan for longer. I love both. Unique and RElatable at the same time. Thats the magic of it all
@@miacarlany what you mean most ? japan's pop industry is so huge. Those people you mention isn't even the pioneering artist of jpop and just a tiny fraction. SMAP, Utada Hikaru Hamasaki, Namie Amuro and more are the pillars of jpop industry.
i am kinda more into K-Pop than J-Pop, but they are pretty impressive. I know Anime, manga, video games, lights novels are among one of Japan's well-known exports, as it keeps their economy going and help getting a lot of fanbases. J-Pop and J-Drama are not popular internationally at all, but still have a small niche to this day.
