As an Auburn fan and Auburn grad I must confess I want to dislike Saban but I can't. He's my favorite football coach. Props to Alabama for hiring him.

Coach Saban is a standup guy that just happen to be a great coach. He's one humble man in my opinion.

It’s not a setup ...The average Salary for a College Coach in the Power 5 is $3million not including perks I.e Country Club, Car Allowance and air plane travel....Same expectation for a CEO of a public company. Average CEO last 5years ...Tell Nick Saban to take a paycut ..He is paid $5million...Coaches should coach to impact kids life ...Same reason why Teachers teach school ..College coaches are getting paid too much money...High School coaches do the same activity Saban is explaining for a fraction of the pay as College coaches #Let-That-Sink-In

Because they don't work for organizations that make millions.....

I can apply that to my job too, I am a strength and conditioning coach for a non-profit hospital, do I make half a million dollars a year? Not even close to it. Should I take a pay cut even if I did? Would you? Alright

You are looking at it like a socialist. He shouldn't take a pay cut and reject expectations. He should accept the expectations that come with the money and the job. It's the job the school and fans invest so much in for him to do.

@@aarodful its not a socialist comment ....the students that attend university of Alabama support athletics with their fees each semester. $5mm is way too much for a college coach to make when colleges are laying off faculty due to lost revenue to to Covid-19. college enrollment is down right now.

@@SaintLaurent9269 Students do not pay for the football programs at major universities. They pay for themselves and then fund all the other non profitable athletic programs. It's a big business and that's why those Coaches get paid what they do. It's a big profit center for universities.
