@@cuteditupload8429 After all that friendship why would you release the guy?? Hes so used to being around people and a kangaroo it's going to be hard for him to adapt to the wild.
Yep but the capybara is a rodent and the wombat is a marsupial like kangaroos, platypus, wallabies, Tasmanian devils and all sorts of very strange creatures from down under. Marsupials are really diverse, there even was a wolf-looking marsupial that went extinct in the 20th century, the thylacine.
@@christinemurray1444 Marsupials are amazing! A platypus is a monotreme (mammal that lays eggs) though, not a marsupial - a very strange creature indeed!
"so now he just hangs out with Ernie the Emu" when I tell you I died laughing 😂😂😂 also, Wally the Wombat, Buggy the Kangaroo and Ernie the Emu... I smell a successful kids movie that I would 10000% binge
That is a wonderful relationship going on. Like you said, missing their mums or losing them too early they bonded with another that was closer to their own size, furriness etc. Over humans. I'm sure they both still love y'all, but their more like... siblings? I reckon. Very sweet 💞
Ok, yeah, they did say they released the wombat..so I guess that's the end, if he doesn't return to visit. Maybe what was confusing was after they mention that, they show clips of them together. 🤷♀️ Man, this sweet story really gripped us. ❤
I know, I was waiting to see their big grown up versions all together again. So is Wally released back into nature or does he just sleep through the day? She was very vague about it...
who knows if they’d still get along as adults; the differences between their species likely grew more prominent as they matured. i can think of several childhood friends i’d probably kill on sight now :0)
I found an Opossum hit by a car here in Indiana, I was scooping it up to use for compost and to keep its skull, aS it was relatively all intact. When I got closer, I found a bunch of baby opossums crawling out of mom's pouch, so I gathered them all up and took them to a sanctuary by me who I had worked with in the past. To my knowledge, all 7 of the babies that arrived alive have survived to adulthood and one of them has even taken to being used as a demonstration animal for kids in their classrooms or on field trips to the sanctuary because he's so friendly. Marsupials are awesome.
Super cool you did that... Always stop and check animals... make sure you park safe (lesson I learned Hart Tour as they say in German... and... help the helpless! May God bless you!!!!
Seems to me if you take away the competition for resources/food, some animals can develop cross-species friendships. I've seen this where it seems like one animal keeps the other as a pet, or where they act like friends, or one "mothers" the other, across species. Curious of anyone educated in this has ever done studies on it, I can only speak from being an average idiot who likes animal videos.
The food availability and consistency of the food is probably the most important factor. Hell, you think a wild animal will ever eat as much as an animal being cared for by a rescue? Probably not, and certainly not as easily.
Proof that animals truly do have souls. Just like we humans, sometimes we meet someone and we just get each other, we resonate, we’re on the same frequency. Like attracts like. No matter, color, size, shape, male, female, doesn’t matter. The highest frequency is love. We should all learn from these beautiful creatures. Peace, love and light.
That is so true I tried to explain that to my mother-in-law but she had a bird brains at the time But now I think she believes I’ve always believed they have souls of course a little different from humans but definitely they have the love of God in them
@@olivegarnish6162 do you honestly think a wombat would be scared of a dingo - a dingo knows better than to attack a wombat - a wombat is a tank and has no predators except mange which will kill them
True enough! A lot of animals will make friends with animals of other species. I’ve seen two different neighborhood cats now, during separate periods here, trying to make friends with one of my dogs. The first one kept coming up & nuzzling against her face, neck, or shoulder while she was sniffing around in the yard. She’d only put up with a limited amount of that though. Then she’d snap at him. Never bit him. Just a warning “Snap!” to scare him away. It would startle him & he’d run a short way back, away from her. But, he never went far. One morning, after months of numerous incidents of this, he walked right up to her & dropped a dead mouse in the grass, right in front of her face - like a peace offering, or something like that. My boyfriend said he thought it meant that cat was trying to “marry” my dog. Lol! 😳💜😻🐕😻💜😅
The difference is that humans want to exploit animals. Majority of people don't actually see their pets, or other animals, with as much respect as other humans. If people truly did respect animals that much, we'd have a vegan world. Period.

@@Oooo-bi7bi Are you sure you dont just need to hang out with supportive friends more? Not minimizing whatever youre going through, just making sure we check off all the easy boxes first. Enough healthy social interaction, sleep, proper food and working out often get neglected because modern society implies those things arent critically important for mental health, but they in some cases are the entire problem. Youre a hunter gatherer tribesperson in terms of your emotional and physical needs, always remember that.
I can confirm this isnt true, wombats can be very agressive. Especially older females. Trust me, my job for three years was going into a wombat den at night to catch them for a zoo tour
Family is what you make. They needed each other and it was wonderful for them to have that time together. . It's so sweet. I know they have to be released but dang. Bittersweet.
This warmed my heart, reminds me of my friendship with my bestfriend. Being completely different from each other never really is a barrier for an unlikely friendship to be born.
Well humans of different races or ethnicity are the same species genetically so we're similar 🤔 but a wombat and kangaroo have different DNA very different . Theyre a different species unlike differences in humans so things like this rarely happen in nature because most aninals of different species simply wont get along due to natrual xenophobic tendencies that evolved in most animals no suprise we humasn have these ugly tendencies of us vs them

It sounds like she forgot that most people don't keep an emu in the backyard.
Incredible love bond between Wally and buggy two friends that became true friends, May God bless them both always ❤️❤️🙏🙏
I just want a relationship like this.
They big now.
You want someone to suck your ear? :-)
Me either!
Explain how you'd like this relationship please.
Yessss
It's interesting, that wombat is almost like an Aussie version of capybara.
I'm imagining a million capybara eyes silently judging this comment.
@@christinemurray1444 Marsupials are amazing! A platypus is a monotreme (mammal that lays eggs) though, not a marsupial - a very strange creature indeed!
@@MsRubyet you are right, I'm pretty sure I was taught they were but I verified what you said. Thank you.

Ernie the Emu! And he's got friends. This just got so much better!!
I hope this is a Sanctuary Farm. At least for Ernie, Wally and Buggy it is.

That is a wonderful relationship going on. Like you said, missing their mums or losing them too early they bonded with another that was closer to their own size, furriness etc. Over humans. I'm sure they both still love y'all, but their more like... siblings? I reckon. Very sweet 💞
They probably miss each other. Put them back together.
Yea! Why are they not together? Did Wally died?! I am shaking right now.
Wombats are nocturnal and spend most of the day underground in tunnels they dig up
Yep, me too I didn't understand this
Ok, yeah, they did say they released the wombat..so I guess that's the end, if he doesn't return to visit.
Why’d they separate them?! 😳 They must miss each other terribly!
I think Wally is back out in the wild now.
😫
I agree! I was going to send the vid to my fam but then they got separated and it’s really depressing
From what I took of it, Wally has 'kinda been released' but comes back to see Buggy still
who knows if they’d still get along as adults; the differences between their species likely grew more prominent as they matured. i can think of several childhood friends i’d probably kill on sight now :0)

"Oh, when will my wombat return from war?" - Buggy
Seems to me if you take away the competition for resources/food, some animals can develop cross-species friendships. I've seen this where it seems like one animal keeps the other as a pet, or where they act like friends, or one "mothers" the other, across species. Curious of anyone educated in this has ever done studies on it, I can only speak from being an average idiot who likes animal videos.
The food availability and consistency of the food is probably the most important factor. Hell, you think a wild animal will ever eat as much as an animal being cared for by a rescue? Probably not, and certainly not as easily.
I became less afraid of tarantulas when I learned some of them keep tiny frogs as pets
I feel a little bit bad for the Emu.
He's like "Hey, wanna hang out and be friends?"
And Buggy is like "No you're not Wally! LEAVE ME ALONE!"

Where would we be without these amazing creatures, and the amazing people that look after them?

Proof that animals truly do have souls. Just like we humans, sometimes we meet someone and we just get each other, we resonate, we’re on the same frequency. Like attracts like. No matter, color, size, shape, male, female, doesn’t matter. The highest frequency is love. We should all learn from these beautiful creatures. Peace, love and light.
That is so true I tried to explain that to my mother-in-law but she had a bird brains at the time But now I think she believes I’ve always believed they have souls of course a little different from humans but definitely they have the love of God in them
souls don’t exist,it’s the complexity of mammalian social brain that permits this kind of stuff ,it’s still awesome though
Animals have souls, what they lack is the nous, the highest faculty of the soul by which men interface directly with God.

I’m surprised Wally was released since he was raised from birth by humans. I would think he was too tame for the wild after that. Hope he’s ok 🥺
No big predators in Australia, it will be fine
What are Dingoes though?
Javier Rodriguez and crocodiles
You don’t want to mess with an angry wombat 😂 they do a pretty good job of protecting themselves.
@@olivegarnish6162 do you honestly think a wombat would be scared of a dingo - a dingo knows better than to attack a wombat - a wombat is a tank and has no predators except mange which will kill them

Awesome work ladies.
It’s interesting but I suppose it’s not just humans that enjoy other species. Thanks for uploading. Really helps me fight depression.
Period.
May I ask why you're depressed? I am too.
@@thereisnosanctuary6184 I think it’s a medical condition. My sister is diagnosed with bipolar and I think my dad has it but he’s from a time when it’s seen as a weakness. I can be doing well and everything is right and I will feel down. Then I have had periods were I’m living in a tent but I’m happy. I think I have bipolar. Diet and sleep can have some influence. But I don’t have control over it and have found I can cope with it better the older I’m getting. So sorry for not answering your question with an easy answer. I’m forcing myself this afternoon to get up and make some music. Hope your good.

Wombats are so chill I'm convinced they could be friends with any animal

This warmed my heart, reminds me of my friendship with my bestfriend. Being completely different from each other never really is a barrier for an unlikely friendship to be born.
Well humans of different races or ethnicity are the same species genetically so we're similar 🤔 but a wombat and kangaroo have different DNA very different . Theyre a different species unlike differences in humans so things like this rarely happen in nature because most aninals of different species simply wont get along due to natrual xenophobic tendencies that evolved in most animals no suprise we humasn have these ugly tendencies of us vs them
So they’re not together anymore? 😭
