- This is by far the hardest skip I've found in this game. After hours of trying out different methods, I came up with this, which seems to be the best way to gain horizontal length.
The key for this to work is to remove your shield before you start using the paraglider. If you remove it after, the bomb knockback will be much weaker.
Update: I managed to get this without the need of octo balloons, which makes it useful for speedruns now. The reason why it didn't work that way when I first tried it was because it is very important to remove your shield before you start gliding, and I hadn't determined that by that point.

this is actually pretty crazy, and probably the most complicated set up for a shrine skip that I've seen. good job.
You know, some game developer put a considerable amount of time and effort to program that shrine. And you just couldn't give a fuck.

To be fair they put a shitton of time into the physics to make -skips- solutions like this possible

Another skip* is to turn it right 2 times, then it will land at the end of the maze. Method 2: Turn it upside-down and balance it to the edge square and then make it go on the ledge. Method 3: Shake it back and forth to make it jump over the walls, but this will be more hard than method 1. Anyways, Good job on coming up with all of your skips including this one!

I just went into the maze, and used stasis to get the ball out of the maze. But this, wow, this is an awesome skip!

Honestly, this seems harder to pull off then just doing the actual puzzle.
next time i'm doing this. i've got a switch lite and this shrine was almost impossible to do. took over an hour

To use mouse instead of Wii U GamePad you must in Options/Input Settings set up like this:
Controller 1 - Wii U Pro Controller (I use Xbox 360 with wireless receiver)
Controller 2 - Wii U GamePad, Keyboard (I did not set any button)
Of course when you set you must save this settings.
Approach the control panel and press A button, then again press A button to accept to play with Wii U GamePad.
With the right click on your mouse you control panel, controls are quite tricky but I did make put the ball into the hole :)
Isn't this slower than doing the puzzle normally? Or is that why you say it's not useful for speedruns.
I would expect this same method to be useful in other shrines though. Also, it took you hours to figure out the setup, but once you got the setup was it easy to replicate, or take numerous attempts?
Done optimally it's as fast as doing the puzzle normally, but in speedruns (if for some reason you wanted to do this) you'd need to collect an octo balloon which would make it slower.
And no, once I thought about this method I spent at least 3 hours doing it over and over till I got it once. Getting the high jump off of the round bomb is very rare, removing the korok leaf after swinging it has a window of only a few frames, and even then, making it on top of the wall is very precise and requires a very good position and timing at blowing up the bomb.

what's the point of the round bomb here? can't you bounce off of the ground? Do you lose too much momentum?
The round bomb is used as a platform for his shield when he takes it out. After landing on it, he jumps again and gets enough air to be hit by his square bomb.
I literally have to skip this shrine. I use the ergonomic controllers, which don’t have motion controls, instead of official joy-cons, so I cannot do this puzzle normally.
