The best thing about the first clip where he saved the test match by scoring and standing at the crease. He not only saved the match but also saved India from a Series TIE of 1-1. Somehow That Test Series Win in England(1-0) became possible due to that Inning (76*) of MSD. So either way his contribution has quite an impact .

True. He was ICC ranking 1st batsman for 2-3 years and for most years he was under top 5 ICC ranking batsman. Every cricketer has to go through this rise n fall curve. Virat has also peaked now. Next 3 years at most if he can sustain. Then he will see his fall. It's difficult to be Sachin Tendulkar. He is known as God for a reason.

Msd is one of the underrated batsman in history of overseas tours. Most of fellows mentioned that he never ever scored century in overseas test and odi. But just look at the position at which he played and circumstances in which he played. Mostly when chips were down, opposition on the top and along with tailenders. Still he played crucial innings in such circumstances. It was just team efforts which were not up to the expectation. Afterall it's a team game. But unfortunately blame mostly came on Dhoni's side.
