This is pretty dope. I did not know Trent dabbled in a bit of hip-hop production. It would’ve been awesome if he and Aaliyah were able to have worked on some music together. I know she was a huge NIN fan and liked Trent Reznor’s production style.
It's interesting you say that - Back in the day I had Try Again on my playlist because I loved the analog synths Timbaland used in that song. I can see real remix potential in that song if the production got dirtied up a bit.
@@charlesleroq932That would’ve been dope. I know for her last album she wanted to work with Trent, but, she was filming Queen Of The Damned and working on her album at the same time. Aaliyah and Trent had scheduling conflicts so that’s why it didn’t happen.
I remember her saying that at the 1999 VMA's, when Trent made a rare appearance, as it was 9/9/99, and he was promoting The Fragile, which was released 12 days later. It's too bad she didn't live, so young. And we may have heard a NIN remix of Aaliyah.
I still have the original Quake, the installation disc and case. The 1st track was data, the rest is the soundtrack and I used to play that shit in my car.

+thevoid99 Trent Reznor enjoys rap music and has a few acts on tour with him every now and then please do check your facts before speaking up. Just like Snoop Dog enjoys Rock just because you make a genre don't mean you can't enjoy another or make an piece of music with an artist from another genre. Trust me he didn't need the money at the time considering the downward spiral was headed platinum.
Dustin Linhart um.... this came out years after "the downward spiral" and he was making "the fragile" at the time. he did like hip-hop but he wasn't really a fan of diddy yet he knew he had an offer he couldn't refuse. at least he was honest about doing it for the money since he did have to fund his own work in the studio as interscope at the time was going into some transition and this was before the era of ugh.... rap-metal.
What do you think he stopped making money after he released the album? He made millions off that album and the self destruction tour I doubt he needed to "do it for the $$$$" He is not broke nor needed extra money to make the fragile. I have read and seen most interviews about anything to do with nine inch nails no where have I seen or heard anything you mentioned. Besides that how do you know he is not a fan of P Diddy? Do you know Trent Reznor do you know what is in his MP3 collection?
Dustin Linhart i know he likes a tribe called quest, i know he likes nwa, and hip-hop. i happen to know a lot about NIN. i wrote about the band several times so i don't need a fucking history lesson. i remembered trent talking about diddy during a 5-hour marathon of his favorite videos where he did admit he did it for the money as he needed it. besides, do u really think he made millions off of "the downward spiral" and its tour? aren't you aware that his manager took all of that money and did some spending in the early 2000s when trent was at his most vulnerable and eventually sued the man?
Yeah, as a huge NIN fan, this was weird. The original is great, I think B.I.G. and the menacing trumpets sound is boss, so this remix is never going to be as good.
This is a prime example of why you don’t touch an epic original. The original builds in the beginning and has actual Notorious BIG conversation in the background telling them to turn the track volume up that adds to it. His mic was too loud in his ear and he was trying to get the volume right. Should never have done this version.

Ntm aliyah style of vocals could have really been awesome accompanying trents excellent music.. he fairly recently produced a Halsey album
@@triplebarreldarrelCool! I know he also did the music for Soul, a Disney movie. I was pleasantly surprised.

A Trent Reznor remix is like the final boss of a nes game
You are corny, and the reason why we can’t have nice tings!
Stout observation
DOOM final boss!!!! Great fucking observation!!!!
precursor to NIN's "where is everybody" 😄
Who’s here after Diddy got arrested?
If this came out today people in the comments would be like, "Yes, I can hear the Death Grips influence"
lmao
As a huge Death Grips and Nine Inch Nails fan, this isn’t even really close to DG’s wild production. It’s very much Trent, and that’s a okay.
01:14 Holy Fucking Shit
wow I never heard this version before, it's dope as fuck!!
Oh man this brings back memories
Trent Reznor should produce rap music.
Same. Closest thing you'll hear is Zack Hemsey (for now)
Check Out Saul William's The Inevitable Rise And Liberation Of Niggy Stardust... experimental hip hop, produced by Trent Reznor.
Dr Dre helped out on Further Down the Spiral
He has produced for saul williams
@@adj789 and dre produced a track on the fragile, too. not sure about FDTS but i know the fragile for sure
This is raw and uncut at its best!
This is the better version of this song.
Like Hell! This shit is terrible.
Wow. This isGarbage
Don't listen to these fools. This is the best version.
The background music by Nine Inch Nails has the Quake feel to it (yes, I know Trent Reznor composed the music for Quake).

I forgot about this monster. The original Victory is great. This remix is great. NIN is great. This is hardcore badassery even in 2022!

He has... Saul Williams as a solo artist. And a lot of remix/production work.

Trent and Bad Boy Entertainment in one song- what can be better?
Lol this beat actually makes diddy seem decent.
This is the only Diddy song I really like.
This is how a real producer teaches other producers how to put on their big boy pants. #trentreznor #nineinchnails

Listened to this back in the late 90's. Trent Reznor could probably make Cardi B sound good, if he cut out her voice entirely.

God I love Trent. Too bad this is a rap song though - nothing against rap, but NIN stands up much better on its own.
Kinda disappointed. Outside of Busta's part, the remix doesn't really compliment the vocals. It's more or less doing it's own thing.
