Another great trip report/vlog JW! I love those soup dumplings in HKG. You can get them in Sydney, but nowhere near as good as HKG! I see how bags get damaged, he was throwing the bags on to the conveyor belt! HK express looked ok, reminds me of Jetstar! Love Japan, the train system there is 1st class, love how passengers politely queue for the train, Sydney, good luck! Your friend is hot, he needs a fan 🤣 You're brining back so many fond memories of Kyoto! Well done buddy!
New subscriber here 🙋🏻♂️ I must say a very well put together video with lots of info which is great….keep up the great work Jayden I really enjoyed it 👍🏻
Great video! The editing and climbout footage are awesome. I prefer the new HK Express livery too. Nice blue shorts! Are they new? Those baggage handlers were a bit rough with the luggage. I love how orderly the passengers queue for a train or the metro metro. The Shinkansen is always impressive. It’s interesting to see the air purifiers in the hotel room. Seems like (it's still) a common practice in Japan.
Very very shorts actually! Found it as I was unpacking my boxes in HK 🤣 Yep glad you pointed it out, the handlers were rough indeed! I'm very sensitive to dust so I appreciate air purifiers!!
@@JaydenWong haha I'm glad you found those shorts. They don't seen too short. Looked very handsome. Yeah, anything fragile or semi fragile in those bags are broken. They weren't even trying. Sorry you suffer from dust. You seem to manage it well.
The no cabin luggage policy that HKE has is rather interesting. It's mostly a US and Europe LCC thing. Carriers like airasia, indigo, and even GBA still allow for cabin luggages at no added cost.
Wow, very detailed. Sorry to hear about your two-hour immigration pain. I always try to stick to overnight flights between SIN and HND whenever possible, as with an early morning arrival (specifically between 05:00 and 07:00), I can get more rest and things done post-arrival. Especially on solo trips to Japan, I prefer to come in via HND as it's closer to downtown Tokyo and Yokohama. However, my family prefers NRT for the convenience of getting a large-sized family rental car as they drive there while I take the railways.
wow, another place I need to visit when I travel across the international date line haha!! Yeah I'm doing well :) Driving from Mornington Peninsula to Melbourne Airport tomorrow, and a short 2 hour flight to Brisbane on Virgin :)
Thanks Jayden. I like the older livery on your HK plane. I am old livery. Haha The egg waffle. I would try it. Don't get me started on coat hukes today. From the awesomeness of the huke/latch on the back of your seat to the huke on the train. I feel faint. 😂 Plenty of leg room for those delightful JWo legs. Mmmmmmmm 😊 I am starting to know the mountains around Hong Kong like I know the mountains where I live. Nice. JWo in HKo. Cheers
Interesting video to see a different airline. Love the snippets of Japan life. Does 6 foot 4 work for an Australian airline? I thought I saw him working on a recent flight to Bali .
Mr Wong….So Good….let me say it again….So Good. We love our weekly JW Fix! I loved the look of the a/c interior and the funky colours. Great view of the airfield on take-off. And oh how I remember that Airbus wing. And the DeJa Vu of seeing Hong Kong Airport when I was just there a few days ago. One of the better airports around and you’d agree with that. JW when is my Patreon Sub due? BB and JP
Thanks for this video MR J !!! You had me totally confused when you said you were leaving from "the satellite terminal" which I thought was the one opposite the Qantas lounge you can access via the sky bridge. Where you left is where Qatar flights depart right? Maybe it should be called terminal 2 ? Anyways, all good. You look so cute in that hat ... so demure 😍😍😍
Awesome Trip here Jayden and for HK Express 香港快運航空 they still have planes in the iconic Skyline livery. If you have to choose between UO B-KKx A321neo or 5J (宿霧太平洋公司) RP-C4118-4128 fleet which one will you pick if you do 香港🇭🇰 HKG to MNL 马尼拉尼诺阿基诺国际机场🇵🇭 on LCC airlines? Instead of the Shinkansen from Tokyo to Kyoto you could have done HKG🇭🇰-KIX (大阪関西国際空港🇯🇵) My mum went to Kyoto in March 2023 on 菲律賓航空. 12:38 I wonder if you can also get them on CX(国泰航空)
If you see this comment ,i want you to try fly To vientiane laos with Hongkong airlines can’t wait to see you review ,and welcome you to travel laos🎉🎉🎉🎉
Hi Jayden! Thanks for the informative video... I do have a question, how does HKExpress implement their cabin bag policy? I believe that you have to pay at the gate if they intercept your bag (oversized carry-on bag)? How do they check bag size? Is this done at the check-in area? Are they strict with the rule that items purchased at the airport (airside) count toward your carry-on allowance? Thanks!
HKEX is a much bigger airline, so probably more reliable. They have more flights than Cathay to Haneda for example. I personally found GBA 737 more comfortable, and has more inclusions.
How about the baggage allowance, I was looking on agoda app but it seems like they don’t provide any free baggage allowance, even the 7kg baggage, can someone explain to me
I really enjoyed your blog today!!
I haven’t had a waffle in ages!! I need to have another one soon!!!!
7:26 w baggage handling 💀
Glad you and 6’4 or still together
Thanks Jayden. Great report as always. Glad you got to catch up with "6 Foot 4"
Thanks Patrick :) Can’t wait to fly with him again

Amazing trip report, can’t wait to see your final flights of 2024❤

Nice review seen this airline a few times in Kaohsiung and HK. Welcome back tall fella 😊

GREAT aerial views of HK! You’ve made such advances to your videos. Keep up the good work!
Appreciate it, always trying to improve! 😊

Another awesome review Jayden, HK express looks much better compared to other budget airlines like Jetstar, scoot
6:18 its the new livery HKEXPRESS and the seats in there should be all purple 💜 and grey, im surprised the interior seats is previous livery

yep! Well their parent company is quite 'western' but thankfully not 'cheap'
Nice trip report Jayden!
Just watched while waiting for my flight at LHR T2. Nice vlog!

Another great video mate. Love Japan as I’ve been 4times. So is HK Express like the Jetstar to Qantas or Scoop to SQ ?
correct HK express to Cathay

ahaha yes I am renting a car in May so I booked NRT😂😂 Thanks for sharing :))
@@JaydenWong No probs. I don't rent a car on solo travels to Japan. Hence, it makes sense for me to come into Tokyo via HND.
Great hat, sophisticated gentleman.
ahah thank you so much!!
I love it when he wears the hat too.
11:04 Jayden ;what angle did you use to be able to get a shot of the tail 😯? I guess that also meant you were sitting close to the rear of the plane?
What’s up Jayden? Coming at you from Cabo San Lucas!! You would totally love this place more than Cancun! Hope all is well my friend 😊❤️✈️

OH MY GOD!!! Your Phone!!
yep💀😭
I miss the old chill serene music but the more upbeat one probably suits better in line with the channel and audience age group.
7:23 Oh my goodness! I would have complained if I saw this. We pay to use the airport!!!
Superb video. Quite a full flight.
One day say hi to the flight crew. Ask permission to film either the takeoff or landing.
Please 🙏 try out Birman Bangladesh 🇧🇩
Those 2 crews welcoming you make UO look like Frontier lol. They look kinda grumpy.
ahhaha
Its not like a321 neo airbus AirCraft this is the older AirCraft of airbus a321
yep older indeed
I did not expect to see the former Qantas CEO peeping out at me from the seat pocket. Maybe just checking who is and is not flying Qantas.
0:32 ur more famous to me than whoever that guy is 😎
hahahah
6000miles not included luggage fee?
3xxx miles no bags (check in or carry on)
6000 miles no carry on but 20kg check in
Prices varies daily so better check online for accuracy
@JaydenWong thanks your reply 👍👍
And try out napal airlines
HKExpress vs GBA Airlines, which is better? In terms of value for money, seat, food, route network and frequency?

Yes you need to purchase carry on bags (small suitcase). Check HK Express website or book direct with them for better clarification
