Thanks for watching :-) #crochet #tutorial #nickishomemadecrafts
Oh thank you! I watched a video where the girl literally punctured the zipper fabric with her hook and crocheted directly to the zip. It was amazing, it man was it so hard to do! I’ll give this a go with embroidery floss for extra strength. Very simple solution here. Thank you!

Thank you for showing me this trick!
Ty so very much! YOU ARE A GENIUS! I love to crochet but never make things that need a zipper because I don’t want to have to get that heavy sewing machine out, set up the thread and bobbin etc etc ! This is so much easier! wow, ty!!!!!!
Smart, smart, smart. I learned and I'm not even working on a project. Thank you for this video. ❤❤❤❤🙌
Thank you for sharing this video, I just got done crocheting a purse and I want to learn how to add a zipper, so this was very helpful
i was just searching to zip my bag and found your channel. super easy and intelligent work. Tq
Thank you so MUCH!
You literally saved my crochet tote bag that is a xmas gift for my aunt!
Thank you thank you!
This is better tutorial for me than puncturing the zipper with hook. Thank You so much!
I use always a double strand of imbroidery yarn to do the backstitch around the zipper. I is strong and looks good.
Thank you so much for your help n Smith 🇺🇸
Finally I can complete my bag! Thank you so much for this tutorial
So glad it was helpful
This is a brilliant hack for adding a zipper! Thanks so much. 👏🏻😊👏🏻
So glad it was helpful 😀
How do you go around the beginning and end of the zipper. That's the only part I'm stuck on. This was a wonderful video thank you!
I am about to slightly tear my zipper off to make hole spots but Thank God I find your video. Thank you very much and best wishes for you.
Hi, thanks for the cool idea! I just have one problem. How and where do you start adding the zipper? Thanks. :)
I like how u did a easy way to sew- lined up. I love ur show!!!!
Its easy. Especially for a beginner. Not very sturdy if the bag is going to be used regularly. It's best to crochet the zipper directly to the bag. But this is not a bad idea at all.👍🏽
I agree! It’s an older video 😀 I need to update it and make a new version that features several different ways
think that's called a back stitch. its good option for hand seaming and what you are doing. cool idea.
Yup exactly the Back Stitch. Wow, I can't believe I remembered that stitch from over 40 years ago, LOL!
I've been using that style of stitch since I learned it in home economics
Ok to Wash it is a great glue to use it dries clear and is made for fabric.
Can i use a rotary skip cutter to cut the holes in the zipper ?? I have one i bought it to use on Fleece so i crochet edges on Fleece... I was trying to design a little zipper pouch that will hold credit cards that i can crochet ...could eliminate the sewing part right ?? using the rotary cutter ??? maybe ??
Thank you. What type of yarn or crochet thread is this? It really nice 👍
You can use a stronger thread like nylon
Yes you can
Hi need to know whether the number of stiches in bag and stich we are going to add in zipper should be same?
Thank you! The video was easy to understand🙂🤙
Do you have a tutorial on how to make the bag shown in this video?
That stitch is called a back stitch I use that in my embroidery
Nice idea. There’s thicker/strong threads on market to use. No glue needed.
What stitch you did for the bag?
Thanks ya... it's very helpfull... love it 🥰🥰
I'm adding that to my goals. Ur a blossom😇
Cool idea. 😊
Hi there, Brilliant idea for the zipper. I think I would just hand- stitch to reinforce by the inside. Can you do a tutorial on your beautiful 👜. What is the stitch on the bag called? BTW the name of your stitches on the zipper is called back stitch. Thank you so much.
Hi Nicki, Great video, what stitch did you use to create the bag? It's lovely
+Nosey Parker thank you! I used hdc. I have a link in the description for the pattern😊 it's a free pattern as all my patterns are😊
She literally said in the video she's using hdc
Verry interesting. l loved it
Excellent! but what about lining the inside? Can you do a video how to do the lining inside please and thank you in advance for a reply. I do the zipper part with actual yarn not thread.
How long did it last
What can of yarn using for your bag
that looks easy enough. zippers and I tend to clash lol. I had a thought watching you though......do you think one of those round zip tools could work? on fabric it works great, and I would think on zippers it would make attaching them much quicker and easier.
L
I don't see
Hi Nicki. Beautiful purse. Do you have a pattern for that? Love the stitch pattern. Thank you. 🌸
All my links are always in the description :-) www.nickishomemadecrafts.com/flower-shoulder-bag/
Nicki's Homemade Crafts Thank you soo much. I really appreciate it. Have a wonderful day.
Thank you so much making a wristlet and want to add a zipper.
How to make this type of crochet stich for the bag??
If I had to guess I would say something like a pebble or Tweed stitch.
Hi what is the yarns ?
Great tutorial! Thank you!
Very nice.. But for me, the zipper is getting folded after stitching .. Any suggestions..!!
Very useful video thank you sis
Hi what type of yarn is that?
It doesn’t exist anymore. But it’s tshirt yarn
Very nice tutorial thank you very much :)
How do you figure out how much yarn you need to use?
With the black zipper it makes it very hard for people like me whose eyes are bad to be able to see it. I will watch the rest of the video and hopefully I can be able to tell what you are doing.
Thank you 😊,I'm gonna make some 👝
Thank you so much this helped alot!
This is great.
Hi may I know the name of the stitch you are using for the case?
Very clever way to add a zipper to a purse
Thank you nicki for this imformative video
Great tutorial on adding a zipper. Who knew it could be that uncomplicated?
But the description has a small error; it says it's for a different video...
Edit: Your tutorials are great. Thank you so much for making them.
+LG Phone thank you for catching my error. I fixed it. I had it written correctly but TH-cam must have not saved it. And i am glad you like the video😊
awesome thanks
Running stitch?
I think when I do this to a childs large owl pillow I will use dental floss for the thread on the zipper.
Cleaver!!
There is actual fabric glue if you want to use that instead of hot glue or super glue.
Yes you can 😀 many options
thank you.
Yeh wool kaha se milti hai
What the name of this yorn?
Great video, easy to understand :)
the stitch is called back stitch,
thanks
It’s called back stitch
Back stitch.
👍👏
It's a backstitch!
It is a back stitch
It's a back stitch.
I had absolutely no idea what you were doing until you showed how you were attaching the yarn to the stitches that you had just put in the zipper!!
You didn't explain the process very well. You never said why you put STITCHES (back stitches btw) in the zipper. Just to put holes & thread. Could have explained they would then be used for the yarn to go thru to attach to the project.
Once you showed the purse, it made sense. But otherwise, the beginning kinda sucked.
Looks kinda lumpy and not even. Needs more work.

Please hindi me bataya kro
you talk too much omg just get on with it. End result was great but omg too much talking in the beginning before you got started.
Would this work for a sweater?
Back stitch.
