Forget about (just) the kiddies… more Adults need to see this kind of video. Generally, from my experience, elementary school kids are taught this. It is the adults who need to be educated… including myself. Have a great planting season. Cheers!
I sat on the floor, criss-cross-apple-sauce, to learn about seeding. 42 years old, govt worker, just hopin' to learn more about how my food gets to my plate. Thank you Quick Dick McDick for always providing worthy content. You (farmers and educators) are THE REAL MVP!
Hey QDM. I haven't left a comment here in a while . I recently lost my Ukrainian doll to autoimmune disease. She brought two beautiful children into this world and saved me from the man that I was ...she was selfless and heroic . In short , I want you to know that I respect and support everything you've done to better the health of Canadians .
As a fellow Canadian thats been "turned around" by a good woman w/Ukrainian heritage I couldn't imagine life w/o her. Sorry to hear of your loss, I can't imagine how you feel but I can imagine how I would hurt. Only thing that would keep me going is knowing that she would want me to be and do my best.
My family's ranch was a small operation. We grew oats and hay for our animals. But your dirty face in the one clip reminded me of my dad coming home from the fields after sowing. He did NOT have cabs on his tractors, lol! I've shared your video to FB. More people NEED to know where some of our food comes from AND understand how important ranching and farming is to ALL of us.❤
More importantly, us city folk need to elect leaders that DON'T put barriers in front of the farmers. Like how Justine is trying to tell the farmers to use less fertilizer. The farmers know what they're doing!!!!
Excellent video. Even those of us thinking we are still "farm kids" but now live urban lifestyles aren't aware of exactly how the new technologies work. Thank you for educating us and being an advocate for Saskatchewan agriculture. Could I just say I think you forgot rule number 4....if a farmer were to miss seeding a strip it will absolutely be next to the grid road so all the neighbours will see. 😂
Educational and Interesting at the same time. Done in your usual humorous and down to earth way. The time, thought, and effort spent on your vlogs is truly appreciated! Thankyou QDM 👍
Mady has taught you well. Very interesting video for those of us that are not farmers. Always wondered about all the equipment I see during planting season. Thanks for sharing.
What a great video, thank you QDM and all the farmers from Saskatchewan and the globe to keep us fed, some less fortunate than others, but that is where the sharing comes in!
I'm 63 years old and grew up on the farms in Ontario, so I have done my fair share of planting even though this was for the kids oh, I found it extremely educational and entertaining great job!! Here's hoping you have a bumper crop
Great video! The great grand kids just love these segments. The simple and easy way you explain each part of the seeding process would get their eyes lighting up and heads nodding in no time! Thanks for sharing.
Good teaching the kids and me. We retired from farming with diskers. You should show them how wild oats moves in your hand. Ask the old guys in town. If yous got wild oats around there. Happy seeding 👍
Is there a chance you can link this to the house of commons with what it costs to make all this great stuff happen.. Deepest respect for farmers. super video.
Thank you for the lessons QDM, I believe people need to know the process BEFORE food arrives at the grocery store. Grain, swine and chicken farmers are crucial to us ALL!!!
Well done! Farmers do not get the respect they deserve. I have worked on a few farms over my lifetime, hauling hay, driving open station combines. Ya,was hard work. Now, big acreage, big machines and long hours. Its a huge investment. Way over my head now.
It's like flying a jet! You make everything look so simple! So glad you are using Moo Poo as a natural fertilizer! You need more trees & shrubs to prevent erosion❤💙💙 No I am not a farmer, but I have watched a Lot of Vids. Love Yours, pls Keep Posting!!🤗❤🤍❤
Positively amazing video, I am not a little Quick Dick but an old timer, such an excellent explanation of the process and Saskatchewan is a beautiful province. Cheers.
Mcdick you are looking better every time I watch, good to see you looking strong and healthy, you have some real musical talent and I hope to hear more, take it easy on yourself.
Love your 'classroom' Quick! Keep em comin!!! Another ode to ERNEST with the chin waggle!!! Right Vern?! Sure nice to see QD's face! We can see the real smile!!
I thank you for what you do. It was nice to see ow this all works. I always wondered about that big equipment. I live by your three rules, but I am past the little quick age group. LOL I still want to learn though. Best wishes on a bumper growing season.
Thanks for the video QDM. Few more months and I will be a permanent resident of Sheho! I can't wait! Might have to pick up some beer and wait for visitors! Lol
Farmers feed cities. Remember that! Thanks for your hard work QDM and all the farmers. So next time you are following a tractor, keep calm and be respectful.
My 3 year old really enjoyed this! He’s all about big equipment & always wants to know what they are called and what they do. Lol. Thanks for the kid friendly content :)
Cracking video for all ages. I have to say that the portion of your ranch that you showed us on the drone footage looks truly beautiful. It is no wonder that you are proud of where you live Farm hard and keep the excellent videos coming.
Thank you! I really enjoyed this learning opportunity. Although it appears to be a lot of hard work, you seem to enjoy every aspect of it. Makes watching these videos entertaining and educational.
It's been a few years since I was behind the wheel of dad's Steiger pulling the air seeder in our fields back in NW Alberta. Thanks for sharing and especially thanks for making fun educational videos for our little mini-mes (and their parents that weren't blessed to grow up on farms). I'll be sharing with my kids later for sure. Thanks so much and good luck for a great growing season!
Just started watching all your videos. You absolutely rock.. Always wondered about crop farming and todays technology, very interesting. I'm just a trucker supporting farmers.
Had a second thought today regarding your amazing video, back forty odd years ago when a science video was shown in class, one would think how it was made and how much did it cost . . . your video was on a different professional level, yet made by a farmer chap with some camera gear and an editing program . . . man oh man isn't technology wonderful . . . when used for the right reason. Wicked video.
One heck of a video. Growing up in Hubbard/Goodeve so many years ago on the farm and now watching the seeding right there on your Farm by Foam Lake indeed such differences in farming. As one heck of a funny guy you are, which I just think is great, what a damn nice video to show how seeding is done now. A land roller? That's my new educational word for the day and a new type of machinery I never knew of. Thanks QDM and hey. My wife bought me a toque/beanie from your merch.👍Keep it real love the videos
@@QuickDickMcDick And thank you. It's so nice watching your videos. I try to relate as best I can but you have such a wonderful Farm and looks like acres of land and then to see someone so close to home making these videos sure brings back memories. I'm 52 and having been gone from the farm for so so many years. Your videos just brighten my day. 😊
That was very informative! I always wanted to be a farmer but unfortunately I am just a city slicker and too old now! Keep up the good work and thanks for feeding us!
Just a tip .... buy lots of Diesel oil now for oil changes , a shortage is coming due to not manufacturing the additives that go into it. great profession on a large scale, thank you QD and fellow Agriculture enthusiasts .
Quick Dick I am a city slicker of 59 years and I sure learnt a lot today along with the kids. Thank you.
Forget about (just) the kiddies… more Adults need to see this kind of video. Generally, from my experience, elementary school kids are taught this. It is the adults who need to be educated… including myself. Have a great planting season. Cheers!

Quick you are now the official you-tube spokesmen for Canadian farmers everywhere. Awesome vids buddy!👍
Once again this 43 year old little quick learned something new. Thanks again qdm!!👍
You sir, are a terribly funny man but not in a terrible way. THANK YOU for the smiles.

Sorry to hear that my friend - wishing you all the best from Tuffnell.
QDM
Sorry for your lost.
Respect to all farmers and the hard work they do to put food on our table, thanks Quick Dick

Thank you. This should go on mainstream tv so all Canadians learn about farming and what happens out in the fields.
Mady has taught you well. Very interesting video for those of us that are not farmers. Always wondered about all the equipment I see during planting season. Thanks for sharing.

Things have changed a little since I helped my uncle do that stuff on his farm near Melville back in the 60's and 70's. LoL 😂

Great video QDM. Also, you look like 10 years younger without the beard!
A video that a lot of adults should watch as well, too many people that have no idea what all goes into growing the food they eat. Lol!
Very nice well groomed fields there.May you have a great harvest.

That was a very interesting to watch. Keep them coming.

Great job making this! But I thought gps was so you didn’t have skips that the neighbors would tease you about the rest of the year. 😉
