They've lost ALL dark and mysterious aspects to them and made a generic paint-by-numbers symphonic album. Only song that was good was Council of Wolves and Snakes. Not to mention the cringe choirs on every song and the Nightwish poppy piano playing over everything. But hey, we all like what we like but to hear someone defend this turd is truly baffling to me.
Tony Lareono is the best drummer for them besides hellhammer imo. This is after many observations and seeing them live several times. He has a better feel and swing is more dynamic. Daray drags the tempos.Im sure he's gotten better though after 13 years of being in the same band
This guy really just isn’t even close to some of the drummers they’ve had in the past. Barker is still my favorite and preference, I find this guy really boring and stiff
