ヴラッド先生の技術は、おそらく崩した相手を制圧するところまで想定した連携になっているにもかかわらず、白川先生が回転して受け身を行っている事でそれが出来ていない。崩したはずなのに白川先生は反撃できる姿勢になっている。多分それがヴラッド先生にとって驚きだったんじゃないかなと感じました。ダメージを減らすだけでなく、回転受け身は反撃に転じるうえでも重要な攻守一体の技術なのだと、他流との交流を見て感じる素晴らしい動画です。

For my practice of systema, I always use Aïkido and most of all Tai Chi as movements dictionary. Respect to Vladimir who certified me.
Systema was created in Russia from Chinese arts such as tai chi, qi gong and wing Chun. Very good stuff if one trains properly and knows how to use it. Ps I actually do like Vlad.

I don't know who remembers the Aiki Expo in the early 2000 where Mikhail did a great Systema tribute to Aikido, where he spent the afternoon watching some of the great Aikido teachers there and then did beautiful Systema/Aikido blend demo in the evening. Was truly beautiful and a nice respectful tribute.

that was really cool great stuff. the level of martial arts on this channel is very impressive, the refinement, the finesse demonstrated is exceptional. I'm not really qualified to comment on the technicalities of what's going on unfortunately. my weapons and tactics are very different almost opposite. making comparisons are satisfying and enlightening. thank you gentleman.

As someone who trains in Systema and used to train in Aikido, there are similarities but they are very distinctly different arts. Aikido is technique driven while Systema is concept driven.

@@shownottell8804 Literally the first thing i say to people new to Aikido is "aikido is not about techniques..." ^_^ (of course you need to learn and practise techniques but only so you can practise and learn about concepts.)

The end point is the same but the pedagogy (the learning method) is different. Indeed, Systema does not teach through repetition of techniques and is unique in this respect

I teach chess and that's a big part of why I'm interested in these education techniques and their differences. I teach local players and use concepts, examples (lots), and give them feedback on their own efforts.

ざっくり観たけど、概要としてはヒロ渡辺先生の考えに近いと感じた。
武術ってさ、道場に神棚あったり、「〜大明神」って書いてる看板とかあるやん？
だから宗教というか、仏道、神道に繋がってたりすんのね。
ほんで、体の各部位に神やら仏やらが宿るわけよ。
「喉仏」って言ったりするやろ？
今で言うなら「意識する場所の細かい言語化」みたいなもんかな。
繋がりで言うと身体操作が1番近いんじゃない？
腱反射を利用した投げとかもあって臨機応変ぶりが素晴らしいです。
Go with the flow ,but keep it simple and effective .Kyusho points are also very important in systema .

What is the name of the first and third throw (from the begining of video)? I was training aikido for one or two years (+- 35 years ago) and I pulled this throw lately on my BJJ fight (white belt here). Its just came quite instinctively.

I just keep wondering.. HOW does Vasiliev decide what to do from time to time? He seems to have a library of different moves and endless variations in his head. Half of the fun watching him is finding out what he will do next because you can see what he could do... but then he does something completely different.
I don't think deciding is the right word for what Vasiliev does. I think it's more along the line of allowing his body to react naturally to what's happening. I practiced Systema for a year or so and once you start getting comfortable with the system, you just react to stimuli naturally, there's no longer any 'thought' that goes into it. You don't 'choose" a technique to use/respond with. It just flows out of the movement and moment. The more techniques you know from other styles/systems though, the broader your responses naturally are
He moves from conceptual training which allows adaptation to the moment spontaneously and not by route technical execution. New motions will come out based upon principles. Each situation presented, given an infinite number variables, will often wind up using a different response. He's adapting to the moment instead of adapting a style.

What amazes me the most about Russian Systema is the apparent lack of effort compared to the results, even knowing that's directly connected to the Systema concepts and not with an easy cooperative sparring partner. Indeed, even wih the usual traditional Japanese reserved personality, the Aikido master looked quite shocked and surprised at the severely disproportionate efficiency of Vasiliev's moves. Both are humble and great, great and humble, words that at the core mean the same.

Trained with him when I lived in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He has had a school there (actually in Thornhill) for quite a few years (that was in early 2000s). His English was good even then.
