  • @ChantillyLane22

    Two things I find that help: 1. Always use the higher speed. It actually "hurts" less(although I'm use to it and it doesn't phase me anymore) and picks up better. 2. Put powder on your legs/hair before epilating. I know lots of people suggest showering to open up the hair follicle and that's great if it works for you. I just know starting out I had some trouble getting it to grab all the hair. Plus now my hair has become so fine from using it that its sometimes more difficult. So powder sort of makes the hair dry/more course and easier for the epi to pick up.

  • @izzykuronekomiminobishoujo6910
    @izzykuronekomiminobishoujo6910 9 ปีที่แล้ว +50

    Well, you used it only on a small section and on your arm. Try on your armpits or the inside of your thights......hurts like hell, cause those areas are usually more sensitive than the rest of the skin. It all depends on your sensitivity and pain endurance. I've been using an epilator for 5 years now, and I'm used to it. The hair grows(at least in my case) for a month(and half) and the first time it will grow at an even pace, but after that it's on different pace, so one will be short while others are long. :D You just need to get used to it. And endure......endure. If you're not comfortable with the pain - just shave or depilate or whatever.
    I personally hate shaving, because when shaved, the hairs become thicker and harder, and uglier. My advise is to try plucking hairs on different parts of your body, that you'd like to be gone, and see how you respond to it. If you're ok - go and buy an epilator. :)

    • @izzykuronekomiminobishoujo6910
      @izzykuronekomiminobishoujo6910 9 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      also, when shaved, hair does not stop growing or whatever - it is just cut off near the skin, but it continues to grow. When you epilate the hair is plucked from the roots, so it takes more time to start growing again. I prefer that it is gone for longer time.

      @@elizabethrai1971 oh! Waxing one... The one which is 2k something has only one type of trimmer/waxing blade. Waxing blade hurts a bit. It plucks the hair from inside of skin.. so it hurts the more. But it gives a very great finishing ... Waxing also hurts so am ok with this one. Trimmer blade doesn't hurt at all... And it obviously makes the hair grow faster as it cuts the hair. So for emergency purpose it's useful. Trimmer blade comes only with BRE245

    Hi, i have started using epilator for few months after watching one of your video. I'm a boy and i use it for removing armpits and pubic hairs. What i have experienced in these few months that it hurts a lot in first 3 to 4 tries. Even i have bleed too. But then i became used to its pain. Now i am okay with epilating hairs from armpits but still I'm not much used to the pain when i use it for below hairs. Which hurts like a hell.!!😂
    Btw your one suggestion was that epilate hairs after a warm shower that's very useful i hv tried it.
    I'm using Kemie's company epilator cause I'm not lucky as u r to get a free epilator from a good company.😢

      it is kind of painful.. not too much.. waxing hurts a lot ok.. epilator doesn't that much, but if you want a perfect skin, you have to sacrifice a little. but if you find waxing better, you should do that. i personally think epilator is a great idea, with equal or less pain but no mess at all

    waxing is the best....rest of the methods are time consuming and expensive in the long run..and the results are temporary... waxing is worth the pain

      +niharikajaisudan I am not sure I agree. this one is way cheaper and takes less time. yes but waxing makes your skin smoother for sure

    • @ayesha91turabi

      I disagree too. An epilator is a one time expense. If you calculate how much money you spend on waxing in a year or more. The cost will easily exceed that of purchasing an epilator. First few times of using an epilator. Yes, it is time consuming. But, as you make that a routine, because your hair grows back thinner and scarce, it is actually really quick.

      Waxing is costly, and you need to grow your hairs out every time. I prefer epilating, pain or not. But I really really hate stubbly legs. And I spent shorter time epilating than I did waxing!
      But we all have different preferenses and experiences.

    • @mirawenya
      @mirawenya 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh and I'll add that I get a better result from epilating than I do from waxing. I can get every straggling hair it seems. (Waxing often left patches that didn't want to go with the wax for some reason.)
      I go very slow with my epilator, so the pincers have time to catch the hairs. Not been so smooth since I was pre-teen. (But I got the epilator that was best in all the reviews/tests I looked up.)

      don't use the epilator on your face. I did that and got awful pimples on my cheeks. I had to get a round of antibiotics to clear that up. There are, however, special epilators for the face. You can use that

    • @ayesha91turabi
      @ayesha91turabi 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Dishu Hingu You get different epilator for face called Facial Epilator. It does the same think waxing does - plucking hair from the root. So, the results are not at all like shaving. Shaving makes hair grow back thicker. But, epilation makes hair grow back thinner.
