You were born with a gift. Sometimes Fae are given special powers, you knew that. But you were given them all, and more.
The other Fae watched you as you grew. Some with hope, some with fear. It seemed as if everything you did was subjected to extreme scrutiny. When you were old enough, you ran.
They wanted to teach you, but what could they teach you that you didn't already know? You were more powerful than all of them combined. You weren't prideful. You were scared. No one could understand your power.
No one could stop you.
It was you and your powers.
You got lost to them for a while. You ran away so you wouldn't hurt anyone. You succeeded in that. But you hurt yourself. It was lonely, figuring everything out yourself. You longed to be taught how to control your powers, not struggle to find ways yourself. But you did. You did it all yourself.
By the time you went back, you were a different person. You were stronger than anyone you came across, and you knew it. You were at peace with it. At peace with yourself.
You wanted to share that peace with others. And some of your fellow Fae were eager to learn.
You went back to teach them, and met one very special little Fae.
