That’s the genius of Paul McCartney - check out ‘With a Little Help from my Friends’ bass line lessons and you’ll understand his stature as a bass player… plus he can play any instrument in a band
Geoff Emerick wrote in his book that George felt Paul's bass line was too busy. George Martin told him it was brilliant and had to be left as it was. Paul felt it had to be perfect and ran a long bass guitar cord from the amp on the studio floor to the engineer's booth so he could sit and play with the engineers and listen to immediate playbacks.
"George had a smugness on his face when he came in with this one, and rightly so - he knew it was absolutely brilliant. And for the first time, John and Paul knew that George had risen to their level"."Paul started playing a bass line that was a little elaborate, and George told him, 'No, I want it simple.' Paul complied. There wasn't any disagreement about it, but I did think that such a thing would never happened in years past. George telling Paul how to play the bass? Unthinkable! But this was George's baby, and everybody knew it was an instant classic". Geoff Emerick
Take this with a grain of salt as Geoff Emerick’s recollections have been questionable at best. Still, I can imagine it was a great moment the first time he played them this song!

One of the things I love about The Beatles is listening to the journey of George's evolution, you have these two songwriting powerhouses in Lennon/McCartney making masterpieces left right and centre from the beginning and then at the very end they finally both agreed that their overshadowed 'little brother' made the best song in their final album together as the Beatles.
Sometimes simplicity is the purest form of beauty. This song, with its simple and honest lyrics that are devoid of drama about a man on the cusp of falling in love, just feels real. And that makes it truly beautiful.

judging from this utterly masterly remix, I anticipate moving the needle back again & again on Here Comes The Sun--over & over & over. just like I did 50 years ago.
Damn, I keep listening to this, because this mix just highlights how PERFECT this song is on every level. -The lyrics are desperately heartfelt and poetic. -The lead vocal is sweet and straightforward. -The background vocals are heavenly. -The lead guitar is emotional and effective in a minimalist way. -The bass line is basically a counterpoint masterpiece. -The drumming is tasteful and understatedly powerful. -The organ and string arrangement are brilliantly soulful. I'm just saying, y'all. Nothing in rock music will ever top THiS. Nothing.

ok i love this and its even better with headphones.. I love George Harrison he was so underrated!
[Verse 1]
Something in the way she moves
Attracts me like no other lover
Something in the way she woos me
[Chorus]
I don't want to leave her now
You know I believe and how
[Verse 2]
Somewhere in her smile she knows
That I don't need no other lover
Something in her style that shows me
[Chorus]
I don't want to leave her now
You know I believe and how
[Bridge]
You're asking me will my love grow
I don't know, I don't know
You stick around, now it may show
I don't know, I don't know
[Instrumental Interlude]
[Verse 3]
Something in the way she knows
And all I have to do is think of her
Something in the things she shows me
[Outro]
I don't want to leave her now
You know I believe and how

M Dub_Dub Same, Man I can’t wait.
judging from this utterly masterly remix, I anticipate moving the needle back again & again on Here Comes The Sun--over & over & over. just like I did 50 years ago.
One of the greatest bass parts ever from Paul McCartney.
Nothing.
Something... Beatles... Hard to beat this song...
Frank Sinatra said this was the most beautiful love song ever written, and he's not wrong.
Got that right, baby...
What he actually said was this is the best love song without ever mentioning “I love you”. Frank’s rendition was superb. th-cam.com/video/YcIxxP_pOSc/w-d-xo.html
John Lennon, "It's The Best Song On The Album!' He was Right!
The Lennon-McCartney song was the best love song ever written 😎

The way this song ends is powerful in the production. Pure energy and a raw finish. Love this.
