Really find it hard to believe this was NOT filmed on a sound stage with a projected background. How many days went into filming each scene???
Does anyone know if the film received any awards?

Sound stage for a silent film? Just kidding... I think there are two close-ups (in this part at 0:28) that look like they have been recorded later with a painted moving background, so there is a reaction from Keaton. The movie was generally (sorry!) not liked by critics and considered a flop, so I doubt it won any awards (the Oscars haven't been invented yet at that time).

最初から､もしくは途中から映画全編を通したストーリーは成立しないと諦めたようだ。当時のフイルム編集困難さは理解できるとしても､撮りたてのマスターフイルムをハサミで切り刻んで編集して行く仕事は”勇気と恐怖”の織り交ざったものだったろう。
