Yep I've seen one very beautiful Maiden who from nowhere stepped out from behind a tree. Then laughing and looking me straight in the eyes she skipped down the verge towards me and ducked beneath the wall of the backyard never to be seen again. She was full size though.

I loved your video I do believe in fairy folk. My sighting was a very long time ago. I was 4 or 5 years old playing in my great grandparents garden. A beautiful place with 3 terraces. I was standing in front of a rock garden on the second terrace playing school, I was the teacher talking to imaginary children. And when I turned around I saw a tiny fairy peeking out from under a fern. When she realized I spotted her she disappeared.
I used to have nightmares as a child but some nights I used to see these little green glowing people in my room, they would walk around and put ladders up to climb onto my dresser and move small glowing boxes around like they were working. I think they were pretending to work and giving me a show. I would fall asleep watching them work. I never had nightmares on the nights when they would show up. Looking back I really think they were faeries.
That's really fascinating. I do think that as children we are more open to so much that would be classed as paranormal, and are much more accepting. Thank you for sharing this experience :)

Thank you, they have so many aspects don't they, and yes, they do have their darker aspect, but every now and then isn't it lovely to just add something delightful and inspiring! I have a lot more of these stories to do which I'll add now and then :)

There's a brilliant Irish folklorist called Eddie Lenihan who has collected many true faerie sightings to preserve them. Best book you could get by his is called Meeting the Other Crowd. Then there is an old book, but easy to find online, by Janet Bord called Real Encounters with Little People. And finally another called Seeing Faeries : From the Lost Archives of the Fairy Investigation Society. All of them are fascinating.... fave of mine has to be Eddie's book. He has a wonderful TH-cam channel also. :)
I never believed in the fae , didn’t like fairy statues , NOW I DO , now I have a whole pub shed at the bottom of my garden full of different fairy s and leprechauns, wen u see something twice and never again ur left with a longing ❤
In the mid 90s i was very unwell i admit. I was lay in bed in a fetal position and turned to my left. I saw 3 orange glowing doll like beings with wings about one foot tall hovering above me. Two vanished very quickly in a split second but one of them seemed to freeze and had a look of shock on her face as if to say to itself "uh huh' he's seen me'!. She ( the Faerie) then also flew off in a trail of starry sparks. I can describe her because i had a long enough time to which was only less than two seconds. She was about one foot in height and was glowing orange. She physically looked almost identical to the old cartoon Betty Boop. The faerie had a look of shock on her face because i noticed her. What were they doing?, maybe healing me? True but strange story.

And you know this in what manner? Certainly not by a close examination of folklore and legend. Many goblins, trolls, dark elves, black dwarves and red caps are on the same order of beings. Though they are connected with nature, there is more to them than that aspect alone.
I love that magic can still be believed in and seen by many. Some that share and some that keep that kearnel of magic deep within.
