He's comfortable and humble, reminiscent of a blue colar Frank Beamer approach. But he has a clear, deliberate southern speaking tone, that and the beard are similar to Bud. I freaking love this guy, I am trying to sit back and let him adjust without criticism. I am 100% pulling for him to be successful, not only for our Hokies, I legitimately want our hokies to make him successful. It just seems like the right fit to me. LETS GO!
Is that a HOAKIE cup on the shelf to the right of coach Pry on the bookshelf lower? (The white plastic one). They misspelled the cup one year at a game when I was there
I've by and large stopped paying attention to recruiting - I'll check in around signing day or maybe after a big commitment, but definitely not following the day-to-day. Can confirm: much happier.
@@TheJhtlag I think all of us vt fans would for sure. There is tons of vaulted footage of older games and interview type shows they re-run quite a bit. So giving the local guys from around the conference would be great for everyone
@@techsideline Oh wow, interesting, I might like this guy. Maybe I'll run into him. On the side, there don't seem to be much in the way of music venues aside from say, Greeks Cellar having some musicians in on a Friday night. In the 70s there were a couple music venues. Was he trying to say 117 South Main? But there was a cafe something somewhere. Be interesting to see the bands from PSU he was referring to.
Love this guy! He just fits better in Blacksburg than Fuente ever did!
I just absolutely love Coach Pry and his incredible energy. Really looking forward to the future of Hokie football.
I love it. I'm also really glad he is keeping the #25 tradition.
Love this guy already
Thanks for having the coach on always interested in what he has to say

Couldn’t have said it any better.I’m totally on board, great fit for Hokie football and a quality person to represent Virginia Tech

Yes, sir, that's exactly what that is.
@@techsideline wow. An antique now.

Exciting time. Go Hokies
Love your baseball broadcasts Mr Lyman. You have a bright future my friend.
Thanks for changing the angle of the "Chris Cam". In last week's episode it looked like Chris was speaking from a closet.
Such a good episode!
That VPI hat is Bad “A”.
Yes!!
Jake, Just want to say you were awesome on the baseball broadcasts.
Favorite restaurant? (Coach Orgeron) Exxon, chicken on a stick!
A music guy eh? Wonder if he knows about Floydfest.
He does. He mentioned it on the way out after the podcast.

Pry is going to be another Beamer, and by that I mean an icon and of historical significance.
Not going to make comparisons.....but Coach Pry just seems so much more approachable.
