Calligraphy is deffinately an Arab invention (it existed before the Arabic alphabet was aqquaired by Iranians) but has been mastered by Persians just like miniature which was brought to Iran from East and reached to its height in Iran
Excuse me Sir, but you are absolutely wrong! As an expert of Iranian languages and cultures , I should say that the alphabet that is known as Perso-Arabic alphabet is the continuation of the older Iranian alphabets as in Avestan and in Pahlavi ... what you are saying is what we have always been told by Islamists , that Iran did not have anything and it was Islam and Arabs that brought everything to Iran , which is an absolute jock !
@@annahita2528 I dont know what kind of "expert" you are but Persian language isnt even a semitic language, it is an indo-european language and pahlavi alphabet was completely different than Arabic alphabet the way I as an Iranian cant have a clue what is written. Arabic calligraphy is for Arabic language which is a semetic language in a different family of language than Pahlavi...
@@Peraj82 ok , once again : I am an expert , i. e. linguist of Iranian languages and cultures... languages from 3000 years ago such as Avestan .... all the way to the Persian we talk today , and as a linguist of English as well, I am perfectly aware of the Indo-European languages, their roots , their family groups, and the way in which they have changed.... Old Persian and Middle Persian , were not only using different alphabets from Modern Persian that we use today, they sounded completely different as well ! So as an Iranian, you would not only be able to read the texts from those two eras, but not being able to understand those languages as well. If you read my comment earlier I said : THE ALPHABET WE USE TODAY IS THE CONTINUATION OF THISE ALPHABETS..... CONTINUATION, not the exact same thing. Once again what you say is exactly what Islamist want us to think.
@@annahita2528 again "claiming being an expert" doesnt make you an expert specially when you lack basic knowledge about linguistics. No the current Farsi alphabet is taken from Arabic and has nothing to do with Pahlavi And there is absolutely no evidence of Arabic calligraphy in Persia/Iran in Pahlavi language. Show me a single one if exists as you claim. You claim to be an expert Iranian in linguistics and a proud Iranian while you changed your very name to sound Western as you were ashamed of it. That says enough about you.
@@Peraj82 OMG! You are unbelievable! Anahita is a Western name??? So you’re telling me you don’t even know that much about Iran and you claim and claim and claim?!!!! Hahahaaaaaa and that says enough about you! Plus it seems that you do not read my comments and just answer.... I mentioned Avestan as well ... go search the Avestan alphabet yourself ... plus once again ; being the same thing ( as it comes to languages and alphabets) does not mean that the ordinary people like me and you would be able to realize and track them through history, as in the beginning of writing, human being was written with cuneiform and then it changed to the alphabets that we use today, or a word in Old Persian and it’s equivalent in Modern Persian are the same words that have changed through history... As I said in the beginning you seem to follow Islamist thoughts and seem to be anti western that just being mistaken about my name , makes you say that I am following west and this and that! Plus you say I lack the very basics about linguistics and give no reason about that .
