- Dive into the heart of Delhi and discover a hidden gem - Majnu Ka Tila, Delhi's vibrant Tibetan refugee colony! This 4K walking tour takes you on a journey steeped in history.
We'll explore the area's fascinating past, dating back to the 16th century when a Sufi mystic named Abdulla earned the nickname "Majnu" (lost in love). Centuries later, in the 1950s, Tibetan refugees fleeing Chinese occupation found sanctuary here.
Today, Majnu Ka Tila is a thriving center of Tibetan culture. Our immersive 4K walk will showcase magnificent monasteries like the Gurudwara Bangla Sahib, bustling shops filled with Tibetan handicrafts, and the sights, sounds, and delicious aromas of authentic Tibetan cuisine.

Welcome to tibat town 🎉🎉🎉😊
Awesome walking tour of the colony with your sister
Glad you enjoyed it
Although MT existed since 1960 but was unknown until Mobile and internet came. Now it has now become so much crowded like Sardar Bazaar. Before Mobile era there was hardly any crowd. Only Tibetan, Ladakhi, Himachal folk used to stop here during the transit. Others who knew were few DU students who used to come here for Momo and local beer. Of course Rikhawala and Auto drivers who come here to ferry passengers and also for local drink.
bro 1960 i think only some tents.....
This place needs to get regulated and expanded further as theres space behind the settlement in the riverside….floor and paan stains needs to be cleaned and polished….
I agree!
Thank you for the walk inside The Tibetan Colony. I was planning to go when I was in Delhi last March but the AQI was at 200 and it was just affecting my eyes and breathing a lot so didn't go. Looks pretty chilled out except for on emotorcyclist blowing his horn a lot. Yeh dzindegi hai. I had Begian Chocolate Bubble Tea in Pokhara, Nepal. DELISH😋!
Next time when you come Eddie, make sure that you visit MKT, it's very different from all of Delhi.
And yes boba tea is very interesting, there were so many options here!
There is beautiful monastery inside this
Yeeees, it's beautiful
Even I went there 5 hours ago... I was trying to find myself in your video but couldn't find... :(
I'm sorry, this video was shot a few days ago :(
@@KeepWalkinWithSheWalkin oh ....it's ok.... Just curious... Why don't you buy a dedicated mirrorless camera and shoot with that??? You can record as well as can do street photography with it ....... I have canon camera and it's fun to use ...
