I have a 2012 Sentra SR and I love it. Kinda wish I had of held out for this or the 2015, but it seems to all be the same. Maybe that's why Nissans are so reliable, they work, study and improve their cars.
It actually looks pretty nice, both inside and out. It's a shame that they haven't updated their engine/transmission options to compete with the likes of the new Civic or Mazda 3.
***** I totally get that, but sometimes if a car isn't up to snuff with the competiton, the company will also do a refresh of the powertrain as well. The current powertrain isn't bad... it's just not very involving.

I like the idea of a roomy and comfortable small sedan that has a measure of driver involvement. Suspension overhaul & tweak, stiffer body, aces the small-overlap..., all this sounds good, but CVT just doesn't. I want to select the ratio. A CVT with good manual control options, with 100% torque off the line, and that doesn't break down for the life of the car... then maybe I'd want a CVT. I am a reasonable gent - 130 hp is okay in exchange for lower cost and no troublesome turbo or DI - but I want all of it starting at ~10 mph sometimes.
So they decided to change the design of the pathfinder because they had an xterra and an armada. But yet they had these 3 sedams that look almost identical.
I drive an Altima, and used to drive a Ford Focus. I tell you, once you drive a larger car like the Altima that has better features, you'll never want to go back to this class. Seems very economy and cheap.

Blah, blah, blah...all I hear is this car shitty or that car shitty when in reality the "shitty" labeling of a vehicle should be plastered onto the driver who expects economical cars to be drag strip/street racing cars without doing the proper modifications/tunings. A CVT can be tuned with a modded engine and go fast, but the key word here is "tuned". If you dont tune the CVT programming, you'll end up with a "shitty" experience. If you know about cars well enough, you can turn any "shitty" car into the type of car you want it to be without having excuses like "oh its too slow" or the likes.

Nissan's are fugly! Man, they need to come up with better designs on all of their vehicles. And as soon as they bring the SR20DET engine's back to their line up, I will buy Nissan again.
I have a 2008 Sentra. Not a single problem to date! Rides like brand new. Best car I've ever owned.

Nissans are great except for their CVTs
I didn't see anything wrong with the previous style of sentra (14,15'). I'd be happy with either car though, both are nice.
