I miss shows like this on Dirty Mo Media! These type of shows are so educational and inspirational, feel good stories! Thank you Matt Dilner...you are a gem! Matt, your talent and knack for creating a show that draws the audience in is spectacular!
So excited to see racing come back as a little boy i used to stand outside my dad and moms house just to hear the cars go around the track and now they back. Its been a long time coming so welcome back Nascar and all the fans woo-hoo lets go racing boys and girls!!!
I don’t know, doing cool stuff like this is a lot cooler than a couple minutes a week on the podcast. I think it’s cooler for him too, this was a badass film, but I will say dirty mo could’ve kept him and spent the money to do things like this.
My old track was bought by the city and they moved and built a new track all modern and fancy and it lost all its heart and was just not the same as the old one. Im glade he can still experience the past as well as having the upgrades to keep the track alive.
It's amazing to see how far the track has come in so little time I remember seeing the track in its dilapidated state run down and sad but seeing how it has come how fast things have changed its amazing to see it now I am excited to have the track back and I am excited to see all of yall come and visit our small town. Welcome everyone to wilkes county and enjoy the races!
Great job Matthew! Such a great story. Now I have even more depth on the history of North Wilkesboro Speedway. I'm 57 and 'Ive been watching racing since I was a kid. I always loved North Wilkesboro and I remember watching that last race and thinking what a mistake leaving this jewel of a racetrack with so much great racing history. And thank goodness for Dale Jr. and Marcus Smith! I'm ready to see history this weekend! Miss you on the down load Matthew but I'm glad to see you with FloRacing. 😎🏁
Great job telling the story Matt glad to see the track coming back I used to shake my head every time I would drive by there is a warehouse I picked at there in town
We'd love to have had you here for the races this js a big weeks for all of us here in wilkes county and we extended our best southern hospitality to everyone who visits
As a fan of the older tracks and the history of these tracks it was very cool for me to bring the lighting in on this makeover. Wish I could be there for allstar weekend. Will definitely be tuned in.
I remember as a kid I would beg my dad to take me to the go kart track when we drove by it. I grew up 20 miles away on 421 when it was a 2 lane hwy. The wilkes race and the apple festival I think we're a weekend apart, my parents would hardly go out for those weekends because it was so hard to even get out of our driveway.
Thanks Matt dillner, thanks dale jr for getting the ball rolling and the influence for this renewal..jr, your daddy is soooo proud of you, better know that brother
My grandpa Jack (😂..not the same one) and his family (Call) also lived there beside the track in a white farmhouse - not sure if anyone still occupies it. Never got to go see a race before it closed down - I was 7...only ever got to see it closed when we'd go for family reunions.
I was at the last race in Wilkesboro stopped and ate at Harry Gants steak house on the way up. Beautiful place most definitely wasn't the only race I attended there..
My race that got forced to close, the kids went in a had fires on the straightaways burning holes in the surface. That was Langley Speedway in Langley B.C. up here in Canada.
F nascar had not had Bruton Smith, n.Wilkesboro race track would have stayed open and been updated and profitable over the years.I started listening to nascar to sunday races on AM RADIO on our local radio station wpaq or wsyd in Mt.Airy, nC. I was about 8-9 years old, now almost 79 years old, and listened or watched nascar until the first year after Bruton took over and messed up nascar. Bruton Smith closed race tracks at random and messed up the fan base. He, had no knowledge of racing and how strong fans feel, therefore a lot of people left nascar. I’m glad to see NASCAR and NAWTH WILKESBURY(NORTH WILKESBORO) come to life again and I wish both, N.W. and me a long life again. Thanks to all for her relief!
The state bought my childhood track i didnt grow up owning the track nor did i know the family that did. But it was my childhood watching racing. Not 1 piece of asphalt is left brings tears to my eyes. I was a 4 cylinder driver won the last championship and the last race ever there. Hurts glad to see this track not die.
Love that stuff like this ends up on TH-cam. So many talented people at Flo, but none of them work for customer service or on making their platform better. Miss Matt on DirtyMo.
Fantastic story, about a family and about the track. What a Grand Old Lady she is. Now less go racing boys, BOOGIDY BOOGIDY BOOGIDY. I would also like to see some of the old time drivers there during the telecast.
Is this going to be open on May 19th-21st may have to do it agains my dad and his friends. I’m a rental kart go karter myself with hopes of making it to the big leagues of stock car racing.
God bless the blood of the Lord on all those whom attend this race. Keep them safe and may they enjoy the race. May the town once again prosper in your care in Jesus’ name.
Someone running Nascar got greedy back then and made a lot of bad decisions about tracks to run, and Nascar paid the price - lost a lot of their fans including me.
This all star race is gonna be one for the ages. Good on dale Jr and all ppl who made this come true. First all star race I'm gonna watch in 5 years. Boys have at it. And someone please wreck Chastain for the love of God someone actually get him back.

I love that they have kept some of the old school Winton Cup Signs!
So excited to see racing come back as a little boy i used to stand outside my dad and moms house just to hear the cars go around the track and now they back. Its been a long time coming so welcome back Nascar and all the fans woo-hoo lets go racing boys and girls!!!

Dillner is an amazing storyteller. Can't wait to see the races this week.

Awesome production from Flo!

Good Job Nascar!! Finally doing something all the fans will appreciate and praise you for!
Next is the fairgrounds in Nashville hopefully.

You got a typo in the title. "Wikesboro"
I want to make it to a race here more than anywhere else

Great work!
Hey NASCAR:
Run the Clash at Wilkesboro if you intend to keep spreading around the venue for the All Star race.
Is CARS or ASA gonna be on TV? I can't find anything. There was a youtuber who live streamed the late models last year but he got shut down.
Is this going to be open on May 19th-21st may have to do it agains my dad and his friends. I’m a rental kart go karter myself with hopes of making it to the big leagues of stock car racing.
Mitchell Stapleton showed us about Wilkesboro.
flo seems to me better than fox sports.
Every cars tour race, every whelen modified race, most major dirt late model races, USAC Sprint cars and midgets, ton of local racing. Its awesome.
well done!!
It should be a state landmark along with hickory
I’m guessing combs is his grandfather who is his dad? Micheal?
God bless the blood of the Lord on all those whom attend this race. Keep them safe and may they enjoy the race. May the town once again prosper in your care in Jesus’ name.
Shout out to Dylon. Love when he pops up on Landon Huffman's channel. 🤙🤙
