I know it must be gutting to have to empty all your envelopes but in a positive, you aren’t having to get into debt to cover the car bill! ❤ Was so satisfying to see those notes and coins grow as you unstuffed!
Great use for the money you had saved! You are right about how long it takes to save and how quickly it can be spent. Glad you had the funds available to you.
You have done amazing to save that amount. Don't be sad look at it this way you had the money available for something you needed. And that must of given you some relief. Really enjoyed this video ❤️
I have had to empty an unfinished challenge to pay for something. It wasn't pleasant to unstuffy it but I was thankful that I had the money there. Before budgeting I would have been out of luck as I never saved anything from my paychecks. Its awesome that you had the money in your challenge to pay for the unexpected bill.
You made the right decision for your budget! It seems to be happening a lot this time off year at the moment. I’ve had to change my car battery, a new gearbox and now having the electrical side looked at 🙄 You can always restart the challenge when you feel it is best to! Great video, and have a lovely week 🤍
What a fab video, I really enjoyed the unstuffing! Sometimes it’s the better option to unstuff an unfinished challenge but that’s okay because it’s being used for purpose… fab video lovely 💜
The decision you made makes complete sense. It’s lovely that you added at the end about not comparing budgets. It’s something deep down I know but sometimes forget so it’s helpful to have that reminder. Hopefully with more money in date night you’ll have a great trip where you’re not having to think about the budget for it 😊. X
I've decied to modify the 100 envelope challenge and turn it into a 10 envelope challenge, but with the range of 90-100, and I wil be doing it in 3 sets of 3 envelopes and 1 set of 2 envelopes, and ive made it into 4 monthly payments of the sum of the envelopes, just cause it suits my situation and well thinking about it, I would only need to repeat it four times in the year to have it done to a similar version of the 100 envelope challenge.
@@BudgetwithKerry a lot of my pals at work think I’m crazy 😂😂, especially when they see me doing my budgeting for the month, and I think the best part is by week 2 they’re all moaning that they’re broke, where as I’m still got money 😂😂😂, think I’ve convinced some to cash stuff 😂😂
Oh don’t be sad you’ll finish the challenge when the time is right. That’s brilliant you had the money there ready. I’m always stopping and starting challenges lol. I’ve just taken £100 out of my £1 challenge to use for Christmas . Yay for another video and definitely enjoy it xx
Fab video Kerry. It's a shame you had to unstuff the 100 envelope challenge but sometimes you just have to. You had a good amount and you and Ryan are gonna have a fab time xx
Cars are brilliant but they can be a killer on our budgets and plans! I know it was sad unstuffing before completion but I think you made the best decision for your family 💖💖 xx
Great video chick!! I unstuffed my 100 envelope challenge early as we needed a new fridge freezer (franny) and felt guilty at the beginning. Ut it was right for us so happy about the decision like you say do what's right for you this is your journey and need to do what works or it's pointless xx
It get it must feel like a bit of a bummer unstuffing the envelopes, but think how good it was for you to have the cash there to use! Always annoying when things like this come up, especially car trouble! You’re doing so well in other challenge though 🎉
I'm so sad you had to do this but... I just think, what a gift that you spent all that time putting the money away AND you have the money. Glad you're able to get the few days away!
That was super satisfying to watch and I’m glad you have managed to cover the car costs and have a bit extra for your break 💛 I love that booklet from WhatIfIFly17… that’ll be going on my wish list for sure!
I've dipped in and out of sinking funds I've done penny challenge 3 times now one got to 250 then 600 just started it again I do use our for day trips though the only sinking fund I do is Christmas I have a full emergency fund and started a house deposit both of which are cashless as too large to keep in the house hopefully your emergency would be finished soon to help x
@@BudgetwithKerry I had a 5 year plan that ends in 2023 but with the interest on mortgages we made a decision last night to try pay cash for a derelict house instead so maybe done a little later than the 5 year goal but we will see I paid 100k of debt in that 5 years too it's been rough going as its not particularly cheap where I am in England we was looking at Scotland but hubby thinks we should go Highlands I'm more thinking a village a bit further down as I love growing vegetables etc x

Thanks Iris, glad you enjoyed it x
Glad you managed to work out what to do, you can always go back to it, and least you got a few other things stuffed with what was left.x
Thanks Leanne, hope you're well 💗

Its horrid to have to use it for something unexpected, but at least you had it there to fall back on. Better than a credit card! Well done. Good move.
Definitely, thanks so much KF. x
Where in Scotland do you stay???I am couple of hours away from Aberdeen.
I'm in Dundee. :) xx
Shame you had to empty your challenge but amazing you had so much there to avoid using a credit card for your car 🙌
Thank you!! xxc
On that final £10 I think that was actually £11 as you popped that extra £1 on top at the beginning of the video xx
Oh yeah! Thanks for that Stacie, I'll knock off £1 as well x
