- Hall of Fame Jayhawks and Tar Heels basketball coach Roy Williams walks the University of North Carolina campus with Graham and invites him to lunch at Sutton’s Drug Store. Coach Williams talks of an upcoming knee replacement surgery and says he still gets called “Coach (Dean) Smith” a couple times per year. Later, he takes Graham to lunch at Sutton’s where they talk about Coach’s diet and superstitions, and he reflects on how he wants to be remembered by former players.

I ran into Roy in Lawrence Ks., walking in the parking lot on campus. He was so nice.
He has this “thing” about doing his daily walking in parking lots. Same thing in Chapel Hill. Seen it too.
Coach Roy is the best of every man I grew up with. The NC mount/foothill man. I never went to UNC but he feels like a father. Very sad that he won't be with us each season on the bench, but I'm happy he has a great retirement to enjoy. Thank you Roy!
I was on that 2009 NC championship team. I love coach Williams like a father.

I'm a long-time Duke fan, but I have always respected and admired Coach Williams. From this interview, I think I would also really enjoy him if I ever got to meet him. He's a class act and clearly a nice guy as well.
