I am a former cover musician. My observations that the bass guy did a great job. Played right on time. Most musicians can't play what they did in the studio, well these guys can.
Oh yeah!!! I almost forgot about this band, amazing talent. I would have loved to be on that cruise. I bet being on the ship with all those bands is a great experience.
Steph From Earth nice 👍 I don’t know who posted this video of mine ? But it got a flood of negative comments , I thought it just might be TH-cam , similar to Facebook with all the negativity , I think they still sound good
I worked security for Frank every time they came to Dallas to play at Rock House Live in the early 2000......are real stand up guy.....sat many a morning drinking Yeager with the guys. They are some of the friendliest band members to be around, hands down !!!!
Saw them on that tour also, was my first big rock show and they were awesome! Saw them the following year at Summerfest in Milwaukee headlining the Rockstage. Can't go wrong with twin lead guitars and fantastic songs. Great band!
Hannon recalls hanging with Steve Clark of Def Leppard in Minneapolis while on tour with them. Apparently Clark partied all night and woke Hannon up early with a limo ride to tour the Gibson store or factory. Clark picked a guitar up and they said "Hey, you play lead on a Gibson with Tesla, Right?" Hannon confirmed it and they asked him to grab whatever he wanted. He still uses the double necked SG to this day!😎👍
Tesla was an awesome band but when you look at how all these singers voices have started failing them it proves how superior the late great ronnie james dio was as his voice maintained its power until his unfortunate passing and now rocks the heavens above 🤘🤘🤘
Ron Silvia That’s because he was classically trained and learned good techniques. I imagine a lot of rock singers didn’t receive extensive vocal training and weren’t playing the long game.
Years and years of singing with incorrect technique. Yeah, many rock voices are cool when they are young, but sadly, not many can continue singing that way and sound good into their 50s.
Saw in Indy few yrs ago, had a mix up with seats moved us to the front facing speakers. Got hearing loss in left ear from it.. Now ive seen shows since I was 14, this show was first time I knew I got hurt...
Liked to been there, wish they had a bigger stack. I remember when at their prime they played Peter Frampton "Do You Feel" it was amazing, just like Frampton, who I had also seen.
Takes me back to the fall of 1986, rocking out to this on Pure Rock 105.5 KNAC in L. A. (or listening to Mechanical Resonance on my tape deck). Good times.
Frank hasn't lost a step but the singer looks like he drank way to much and sounds like it as well.I saw these guys open for DL back in the day and they were kick ass but I think time has definitely taken a toll on the front man...
the most underrated and most under-appreciated rock band maybe ever a lot better they Motley Crue rat poison 99% of the bands from the 80s and 90s but yet they never got the notoriety they deserved never put out a Bad album
Billy Cain Mechanical Resonance remains one of the best Metal albums ever recorded. I also do not like when they are lumped in with the big hair bands who wore makeup and glitter to sell their sub par music of the same era. Tesla has always been about the music and deserves better.
The first time I heard this band was on the Metallica Cliff 'em all home video. Towards the end James, Lars and Kirk are getting drunk and they were listening to commin at ya live.
I've seen Tesla live 4 times in the last 2years, and I've gotta say Jeff sounds a little hoarse or tired right there. Could just be the audio too. But that's real rock, no double trackin here folks!
Jeff, also Halford two that are stellar", very difficult to maintain longevity within being vocalists. Nearly none from there initial debut are able to provide octive 4-6 like these two at there age.
Okay absolutely no disrespect but the lead singer sounds like Eric Cartman unless he was sick that day possibly I was just saying he doesn't sound like himself
First time I saw these dudes live was at the Cal-Expo amplitheater. They filmed their "Love Song" video for MTV that night. I remembered they sang it 3 times to get it right....I never did see myself in the video. Back in the 98 Rock days in Sacramento.....Hell yeah !
Loved it in the day. Seems a little campy now. Back when it WAS the music it seemed so magical though. Everyone wanted to play over the top guitar back then...
His voice has gone to shit. I saw them when they opened for Poison late 80's. They kicked ass! I was hoping to see them again when they toured with Def Leppard and REO Speed wagon. One of them got sick so they didn't play. I was hugely disappointed after driving a long way to see them. Now after seeing this video I'm glad they didn't play if this is how they sound now. Quit while your ahead guys. Your glory days are done.
Tesla was so melodic and under-rated! They had som of the best guitar stuff out there!
I totally agree.Amazing guitarists....
tigerbalm agreed man.

infamously sleazed out
When this came on the air waves in 1986 that opening lick/ riff blew us away..perfect song
I agree. Guitar stepping was always a challenge to figure out in those times!! Loved it, hammer down on the guitar Frank!
I drove over 1200 miles once to see Tesla... so underrated I believe. Best road trip ever!!!
Steph From Earth nice 👍 I don’t know who posted this video of mine ? But it got a flood of negative comments , I thought it just might be TH-cam , similar to Facebook with all the negativity , I think they still sound good
alexvigil29 I say fuck’em if they don’t know good music... Tesla really is badass 🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
@@stephfromearth3607 I'm with u Steph! Tesla, Cinderella & Black Crowes best music from 80"s! Not counting heavy/ fast Metal. Imo 💊💉🚬🍸🍺🍻🎸🎵🎶😁
gizzy2403 I’m agreeing with you 💯😉
Steph From Earth not sure I’d brag about that.
I worked security for Frank every time they came to Dallas to play at Rock House Live in the early 2000......are real stand up guy.....sat many a morning drinking Yeager with the guys. They are some of the friendliest band members to be around, hands down !!!!
Yeager, lol!
Hannon is absolutely incredible, he really is.
he's been sounding like Cartman since 1999
best comment ever. He sounds like him but the other guys look like him
I saw them at the Texxas Jan '87. Nobody had ever heard of them but they blew every band away. The very first song we were all going "holy shi*".
Saw these guys opening for Def Leppard in 1987. Kick ass rockers!
Yeah I saw them on that tour. They got booed off the stage.
Me too.No booing.
Saw them on that tour also, was my first big rock show and they were awesome! Saw them the following year at Summerfest in Milwaukee headlining the Rockstage. Can't go wrong with twin lead guitars and fantastic songs. Great band!

He still uses the double necked SG to this day!😎👍
Mick Foley on bass ladies and gentlemen..
Greg Barth I laughed too damn hard at this...Bahahahaha!!!
BANG BANG Have a nice day@@joshkitchen6547
😂😂😂😂😂
Fuckin’ WOW they’ve still got it !
I taped them at the Providence Civic Center opening for DLR 1/16/87.
You’ve probably heard it it’s decent👍🏻
dude uncalled for, but funny as hell to LOL
Tesla was an awesome band but when you look at how all these singers voices have started failing them it proves how superior the late great ronnie james dio was as his voice maintained its power until his unfortunate passing and now rocks the heavens above 🤘🤘🤘
Ron Silvia That’s because he was classically trained and learned good techniques. I imagine a lot of rock singers didn’t receive extensive vocal training and weren’t playing the long game.
Tesla, Warrant, and Triumph
Joe Louis Arena 1986 🤘🤘
I was there, amazing show!
Amazing musicians. ALL of them! What kick ass songs!
Some songs just f-ing rock. This is one damn fine example of exactly that! 🤘🇺🇸🤘
You know that they are great guitar players when they make it look easy!
Going to see em next month, paid for the VIP meet and greet
Can’t wait
So glad to see these guys still kicking butt!
I saw them back in the day 4 times. Awesome live.
Brian Wheat was heavy when they first started and lost weight. Poor guy. It's back.
Total goosebump song when this came out. The singer sounding "off". Not sure what is going on there. A bit cartman ish perhaps,?
Years and years of singing with incorrect technique. Yeah, many rock voices are cool when they are young, but sadly, not many can continue singing that way and sound good into their 50s.
I love Tesla! I wish they would write more music like this.
Tesla-still bringing it!!! Great band!!!
TESLAFIED!! Love it, still rocking .just saw @ Graceland . ROCKED .
Rock never gets old !!!! ROCK ON TESLA !!!!
Saw in Indy few yrs ago, had a mix up with seats moved us to the front facing speakers. Got hearing loss in left ear from it.. Now ive seen shows since I was 14, this show was first time I knew I got hurt...
Saw them in 89. Was never really a big fan until that show. They are the real deal.
Liked to been there, wish they had a bigger stack. I remember when at their prime they played Peter Frampton "Do You Feel" it was amazing, just like Frampton, who I had also seen.
These Rockers make me SMILE 😁🤟
Awesome band. Amazing sound.
Takes me back to the fall of 1986, rocking out to this on Pure Rock 105.5 KNAC in L. A. (or listening to Mechanical Resonance on my tape deck). Good times.
I miss KNAC, they were the best station ever.
Glad to see bands still use real amps!
Bands don't use amps now??????
@@Scorpsfan a lot just go straight to soundboard
@@Scorpsfan with amp simulation
Sound Great. Wish we would get more music from them Great Band.
They literally released a new album like 2 months ago
Good solid rock band back in the day.
Man Jeff’s voice is solid 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Damn, it sucks getting old
A Vega Residence will be any band's end, Elvis and now Aerosmith? Tesla ??
They still Rock! And doing a fine job!!
Our man Frank helping his struggling buddy out at 2:07. That's how a band is supposed to work.
It’s part of the song , so what you talk about , Jeff’s voice is solid .
Saw these guys play to 20,000 people back in the '80's. Can't believe they're playing a cruise ship.
You ever play to anyone? Your hand doesn't count lol
They are playing on the monsters of rock cruise. Plenty of bands/artists have played on cruise ships.
I’m there up in the back at 0:47
First band I ever saw live, supporting Def Leppard in 87.
gingataff nice 👍
I saw them in 87 with DEF at the San Diego sports arena
So great!!! Thanks for sharing love them
Frank hasn't lost a step but the singer looks like he drank way to much and sounds like it as well.I saw these guys open for DL back in the day and they were kick ass but I think time has definitely taken a toll on the front man...
Classic ...hard rock ever!
Looks like tesla
Sounds like tesla
Must be tesla
the most underrated and most under-appreciated rock band maybe ever a lot better they Motley Crue rat poison 99% of the bands from the 80s and 90s but yet they never got the notoriety they deserved never put out a Bad album

Remember these guys when they were called "City Kid". Saw them at a club when they were still too young to drink.
Ladies and gentlemen steven pearcy on vocals
Tesla kicks ass! Seenem 4 times👍
awesome...totally awesome...wish i was there
Let's give it up for Eric Cartman on vocals everyone...
EXCELLENT IDEA, CONCERT ON A BOAT.
One of the best bands to see live ! Thanks for sharing all these killer vids! You Rock! 🤘🔥⚡🤘
Tommy was the real backbone.... They still sound great though...
Tommy is a cool dude but unfortunately is a slave to the junk.
That bass player still eating good he don't miss a meal
Him and Mike Reno are on the see-food diet!
i need to "relax" on one of those cruises !!!!!
They say a camera adds 10 punds to any picture or video.....so just how many camera do they have pointed at Brian!?!?
The first time I heard this band was on the Metallica Cliff 'em all home video. Towards the end James, Lars and Kirk are getting drunk and they were listening to commin at ya live.
Sounds like Cartman is the lead singer for Tesla these days.
Lol. It does
I've seen Tesla live 4 times in the last 2years, and I've gotta say Jeff sounds a little hoarse or tired right there. Could just be the audio too. But that's real rock, no double trackin here folks!
💀
Yeah his voice sounds like it's done
I was gonna say Alvin and the Chipmunks! Lol
I can't stop staring at that white Flying V with the white fret board. DOPE!!!
If I seen it from 10 feet away it'd be like: " (insert godlike "auw" here.. ✨) wondering what generation tizzz.... 🤔
AWESOME!....thanks for sharing ;-)
Eric Bolt thanks for watching
Jeff, also Halford two that are stellar", very difficult to maintain longevity within being vocalists. Nearly none from there initial debut are able to provide octive 4-6 like these two at there age.
Excellent shredd'N fellas
⭐😎⭐
Still tight as f@$%!!! Great to see.
Peccato che la voce si senta a tratti.sometimes not audible and I can't clearly understand the words.guitars absolutely AWESOME.like n.758.
This band is so tight and cohesive by the fact that they have been playing and creating since 1985-86 the 5 of them should work on harmonies.
His voice is blown out.
They still kick ass
They still sound good
Matt DOE yup
Way better video view than mine from the jacuzzi!
It's a shame we all get old
Cody Weis not really. Growing old is a privilege denied to many!
Is there a guitar tech almost tried out for our band back in 2019 but he ended up moving to another state
respect mah authority!
That was awesome
Okay absolutely no disrespect but the lead singer sounds like Eric Cartman unless he was sick that day possibly I was just saying he doesn't sound like himself
Man...they fucking still rock.
wow. father time is a real mother f'er. Everyone watching this is feeling old.
First time I saw these dudes live was at the Cal-Expo amplitheater. They filmed their "Love Song" video for MTV that night. I remembered they sang it 3 times to get it right....I never did see myself in the video. Back in the 98 Rock days in Sacramento.....Hell yeah !
Awwsome!!!
Singer still parties. I can see his dripping nose from here
He sounds more nasal than usual.
Hell yeah🤘🤘🤘
Some people should just give it up already!!!
yeah like you cuz this band still kicks ass and puts out great albums
I bet that was the most epic fucking cruise!!
Singer is strugling....eighties....that man ruled.
RESPECT MAH AUTHORITAH!!!
That guy has the most unusual voice in rock
more like the monsters of super size meal-YIKES!!!
These guys still fucking rock!!!
THAT Gibby V looks nice
Loved it in the day. Seems a little campy now. Back when it WAS the music it seemed so magical though. Everyone wanted to play over the top guitar back then...
Jeff looks like he's in pain or feeling no pain. But really, he looks like he's in pain.
Still great....and my damn age
All time fav. Shock Tour sounds better than ever, Atlanta show on my channel for anyone interested. Best band ever. Criminally underrated.
Badass!!🤘🤘

Troy not playing Tama drums is sacrilegious
I miss Tommy being in the band but Rude is a great replacement
Clifford Amey
Still rockn
What a kick axe video Alex, sub +1=600. What did you shoot with, GoPro on gimbal or optical image stabilization, or post-production in Final Cut?
Tesla still RoX!!
btw,is that Jeff Keith on lead vocals?
Jack Mehoffen
Yes
Vince Neil school of singing. Jeff Keith graduates with honors.
Damn, I didn’t know John Goodman played bass with TESLA!
Thought it was Phil margera
Hahaha !! He's not big anymore.
Dude lost his voice...🤔...I remember I got invited to send them...but o couldn't make it 1990😤
