I haven't felt a mixed reaction to a game in awhile. I'm not exactly a big JJK fan but compared to alot of animes, it's the only thing I checked out recently, but I'm here for the Gameplay and they look so much floaty and slow. I want to buy it day one but there's not enough footage for me to decide. I'm not exactly hating on it, but I'm seeing if it fits my taste to add it to my library of "forever to play games".

Some of it looks like season 2, from sakuna using the fire arrows, the game has promise domain expansion actually placing you in the lava mountains actually makes me very happy to see it left the field, idk if it has a time limit or would give a time frame to use your domain or simple to remove the bs against you yet, I do enjoy that it showed of part of them using small clip for mouth and panda, since neither has domain. For some of them not sure how well we can win against shigaraki, I mean patch face 😂, the second you touch your f'!!!, or malevolent shrine instant death😅...

Once I saw a whole team (it was a 3 v 3) rally behind one teammate as they pushed forward using one teammates super move as a cover because it was a slow tracking projectile that hit anything in its path.

Gameplay is a little weird and slow. Gravity and movements show us that this is simply a reskin of My Hero Academia One's Justice. Almost as if these characters have no weight to them. I feel like if you want to ask players for $70 or more there needs to be more work done
Only think I'm disappointed is the lack of destruction on buildings/environments. Yes there's a lil bit of destruction but i was hoping we'd be able to hit someone through buildings or leave craters or those long strip craters you see people memeing about "things are getting interesting" type of stuff. Besides that this game looks fun.

Some of you people are insane. You have dirt low standards. This game literally looks like a ps3 game. The graphics look horrendously outdated. Visual effects look really bad,. The shading, the shadows, the textures on characters and the backgrounds look completely bare bones, devoid of life and just quite awful. The lighting isn't bad though but everything else is. You can hardly even distinguish what the effects are supposed to be sometimes. The animations are terribly low quality and look extremely clunky. The gameplay looks very choppy like the game is constantly bouncing between 20-40 fps. The game doesn't need to be freaking modern Crysis 3 or some shit. But I'd at least expect Demon Slayer game or Storm series quality(which isn't even that high). As mediocre as those games they look significantly better and smoother with significantly better animations than this crap. And if your excuse is that "the game isn't out yet", then it's gonna need a massive, galaxy level improvement from where it is now and we both know that's not gonna. The game looks super bad. I just cannot wrap my head around why people are trying to defend this steaming pile of crap.
I think you’re over exaggerating the issues here. The game looks visually fine with the effects at some points looking very beautiful from what they’ve shown in trailers. All the footage we’ve seen so far has been under development and any performance issues with the game are most likely being worked on, even though tbh I can’t see at any point in the footage where the frames noticeably dropped. In terms of gameplay it looks fine and I’m glad they’re keeping the lore of the show intact whilst also finding ways to balance things out and make characters fun in their own unique ways. If you’re not a fan of floaty gameplay that’s fine but I think it’s kinda disingenuous to say the game is bad just because floaty gameplay isn’t your style. The only thing I can agree on is that SOME animations seem a little rough but in the grand scheme of things having a couple odd looking animations isn’t too bad as long as the game is fun, which is something no one knows for sure because the game hasn’t been released.

Some of your criticism’s of the game comes from comparing it to games like storm and demon slayer, when in reality they play nothing alike and couldn’t be further opposites to cursed clash. Are the backgrounds the MOST beautiful thing of all time? No. The maps are huge and trying to keep everything looking 10/10 visually and also making the environment breakable is just not possible under the time constraints most game devs are under when it comes to anime games. Storm and demon slayer can make all of their backgrounds look great because the playable areas are significantly smaller and lack breakable pieces of the environment most of the time. Like I said before the animations are “fine”, they’re not groundbreaking or revolutionary and some of the ones they’ve shown definitely need some work, but if you’re gonna nitpick a few weird animations and claim that everything is exactly like that and this game was the result of lazy work I think you’re very much in the wrong. It’s easy to harp on graphics and animations when that’s all we have, but waiting for the release is the best way to criticize the game in my opinion. For me when I play games it’s about the overall experience and making my own fun with the tools and mechanics that the game brings. Saying I have “low standards” because I prefer to play the game for myself and not nitpick a piece of content based on limited information is just absurd. These devs clearly care about JJK and obviously gone through much effort to recreate the world and mechanics of the show/manga. All you have to do is look at how they’re handling the characters and their abilities in order to see that. Simply put…..if you don’t like how the game looks then don’t buy it. No one is forcing you to.
So far we have 16 confirmed characters. Yuji, Megumi, Nobara, Gojo, Jogo, Hanami, Mahito, Nanami, Inumaki, Panda, Eso/Kechizu, Sukuna, Maki, Geto, Yuta, and Todo. This is apparently the full base game roster with more likely coming in the dlc pass

I really wished anime games had a better budget😭
Some of you people are insane. You have dirt low standards. This game literally looks like a ps3 game. The graphics look horrendously outdated. Visual effects look really bad,. The shading, the shadows, the textures on characters and the backgrounds look completely bare bones, devoid of life and just quite awful. The lighting isn't bad though but everything else is. You can hardly even distinguish what the effects are supposed to be sometimes. The animations are terribly low quality and look extremely clunky. The gameplay looks very choppy like the game is constantly bouncing between 20-40 fps. The game doesn't need to be freaking modern Crysis 3 or some shit. But I'd at least expect Demon Slayer game or Storm series quality(which isn't even that high). As mediocre as those games they look significantly better and smoother with significantly better animations than this crap. And if your excuse is that "the game isn't out yet", then it's gonna need a massive, galaxy level improvement from where it is now and we both know that's not gonna. The game looks super bad. I just cannot wrap my head around why people are trying to defend this steaming pile of crap.
Another year or 2 in development would do this game WONDERS.

I think you’re over exaggerating the issues here. The game looks visually fine with the effects at some points looking very beautiful from what they’ve shown in trailers. All the footage we’ve seen so far has been under development and any performance issues with the game are most likely being worked on, even though tbh I can’t see at any point in the footage where the frames noticeably dropped. In terms of gameplay it looks fine and I’m glad they’re keeping the lore of the show intact whilst also finding ways to balance things out and make characters fun in their own unique ways. If you’re not a fan of floaty gameplay that’s fine but I think it’s kinda disingenuous to say the game is bad just because floaty gameplay isn’t your style. The only thing I can agree on is that SOME animations seem a little rough but in the grand scheme of things having a couple odd looking animations isn’t too bad as long as the game is fun, which is something no one knows for sure because the game hasn’t been released.

Textures, shadows, detail etc. You can't seriously be saying the backgrounds look "fine." "Some" animations? Some?? You seriously have low standards. There are action based mobile games that look significantly better and with significantly better, smoother and detailed animations like PGR. And again we have other games to compare to, Demon Slayer and the Storm series. Those games look good but aren't groundbreaking visually and yet this still looks significantly worse in every aspect. Nice that they are keeping lore intact but if that was at the cost of everything else, then it wasn't worth it. This game literally looks subpar quality and it's clear to me that so far it was a lazily slapped together game to cash in on hardcore JJK fans. Sorry but I actually have above dirt low standards.

This isn’t continuing a series that’s been going on for years. There is always going to be problems with games like this whenever it’s the first in a franchise. However I think you’re being overly judgmental just for the sake of being negative. Some of your criticism’s of the game comes from comparing it to games like storm and demon slayer, when in reality they play nothing alike and couldn’t be further opposites to cursed clash. Are the backgrounds the MOST beautiful thing of all time? No. The maps are huge and trying to keep everything looking 10/10 visually and also making the environment breakable is just not possible under the time constraints most game devs are under when it comes to anime games. Storm and demon slayer can make all of their backgrounds look great because the playable areas are significantly smaller and lack breakable pieces of the environment most of the time. Like I said before the animations are “fine”, they’re not groundbreaking or revolutionary and some of the ones they’ve shown definitely need some work, but if you’re gonna nitpick a few weird animations and claim that everything is exactly like that and this game was the result of lazy work I think you’re very much in the wrong. It’s easy to harp on graphics and animations when that’s all we have, but waiting for the release is the best way to criticize the game in my opinion. For me when I play games it’s about the overall experience and making my own fun with the tools and mechanics that the game brings. Saying I have “low standards” because I prefer to play the game for myself and not nitpick a piece of content based on limited information is just absurd. These devs clearly care about JJK and obviously gone through much effort to recreate the world and mechanics of the show/manga. All you have to do is look at how they’re handling the characters and their abilities in order to see that. Simply put…..if you don’t like how the game looks then don’t buy it. No one is forcing you to.
Does this game only have 4 characters lol? I feel a lot of the anime games that aren’t titled dragon ball or Naruto have no characters to fight as
So far we have 16 confirmed characters. Yuji, Megumi, Nobara, Gojo, Jogo, Hanami, Mahito, Nanami, Inumaki, Panda, Eso/Kechizu, Sukuna, Maki, Geto, Yuta, and Todo. This is apparently the full base game roster with more likely coming in the dlc pass
Does anyone know if the characters will be able to use their maximum techniques, for example geto will use uzumaki?
Geto will have Uzumaki as his awakening attack and Jogo has been shown to use his Maximum meteor in a joint-attack cutscene. Hope this helps!
