Every Jedi faces the Dark Side. But Cal? He’s used its power, maybe its pull changed him. As a Padawan, he was afraid. Scared. Seeing his Master shot down by the Clones he once called friend. When push came to shove, he tapped into the darkness. Cal hasn’t been able to unleash the Dark Side before, until Bode betrayed him. Now that he’s open to its power, Cal must be careful.
DAAANNNGGG! Amazing work as always! One of my big hopes for the next game is that they don't ignore this new side of Cal's character which you captured PERFECTLY!
Yes yes yes. I love that Survivor ended with this looming internal conflict and leaves the player with a permanently-adjusted powerset. It's one of my favorite arcs running through the Order 66 flashback to this Nova Garon sequence to the final fight against Bode- and while Cal acknowledges what he's done, he doesn't yet know if he can overcome it. Such a great setup for Jedi 3!

Cal's really going through his Kyle Katarn arc. That touch with the darkside, hoping we'll have more branching stories lines in the next game depending on how hard you lean into that darkness. Or at the very least we see Cal trying to ride that line between light and dark.
Wasn't expecting another video so soon but it was another one we'll done. In fact what made it so unique was the alternate angles we don't get to see. I am not sure why they didn't use those in game because we missed all of Cal's expressions. His pain is written all over his face and really is a testament to Cameron's acting skills. Thanks for making these. Definitely beyond my skillet that's for sure. I'll have to stick to pictures and the occasional gif. I'll add it to my fav list of Cal ones you've done. Really does show his breaking point. 😔
I really love that scene's focus on Merrin, and the choice to feel Cal's turmoil through her reaction to him. But also cool to see it on Cal directly through these alt angles :) Survivor definitely has a great cast! Thanks for watching 💛 Always a fan of your photos too!

Consume you it will, as it did Obi-Wan's apprentice." -Yoda I'm so hoping that the sequel either gives us the option to have a "dark side ending" like _The Force Unleashed_ or does justice to Cal as a character by making either his corruption or redemption fit his character arc. He's seen too many Jedi fall to the darkness at this point. Trilla Suduri, Masana Tide, Taron Malicos, Dagan Gera, and Bode Akuna. He should know by now what that road leads to.
Cere's "Every Jedi faces the dark side ... but that is the test" line from Fallen Order feels extra applicable now. Her example, along with support from his other loved ones, may help Cal find some redemption. But all the fallen Jedi he's faced are a very clear mirror of where this struggle could lead. Makes me excited for Jedi 3!
Thanks! Unlocked the camera with a PC mod and re-positioned it during the cutscenes. Most off-camera movement/lighting isn't ideal (the scene is built and lit to camera, as it should be) but it's fun to find the moments that do work. Also made me really interested in PCAP and animating motion capture data too

I need to get myself that freecam mod, the new angles of the cutscenes work so well to shift the feel of certain scenes
It's a lot of fun! Most scenes are animated "to-camera" so it's tricky to find good alternate angles, but some cutscenes (like these) work really well

It's a cool idea! I enjoy the canon storyline but understand why morality systems are intriguing. And some of the older SW games do let you choose!
