Did you build all that from scratch? Wow, very impressive carpentry skills

Not all of it. I did build some nuc boxes and a lid and I reduced a ten frame hive to an eight frame hive and of course the layens hive I am working on now. The camera does not show the mistakes.

How are you liking the Saskatraz bees??? Are the gentle, productive and so on???

I did not notice them being anymore aggressive than other bees that I have had. I did have a bee once just not leave me alone and followed me a good 10yrds for some reason. The last time I got stung was in August. I just wear a hat and veil now. As far as productivity I transferred them to a Layens hive this year after building up the queenless hive I had coming into spring. They were taking syrup in October and I have not disturbed the frames to check on their stores. I might put sugar into a frame feeder because unlike Langstroth hives I can't put sugar on top of the frames with the Layens hive. If they survive into spring I think I might try making a split and see what type of queen gets produced.

@@NewEnglandgardening THANK YOU. I asked because a few of my friend beekeepers have had them for years and say their or just OK. Over great research, and talking with dozens of beekeepers, here are a couple links I thought to pass by you for some excellent queen breeders and queens, and are spoke of have exceptional qualities. Just thought like sharing. Enjoy. Brad
