    Upper management always have 'great ideas' regarding every day operations. Hang in there, Richard. I hope you and Paul enjoy your festive season.

    🤣🤣My Alexa responded when you asked the time...much quicker than she responds to me 🤔! I had a job where (when organizational and management changes occurred) they made us do exactly what you're doing now. It was scary, awful, felt so wrong, and it took time away from our clients needs. I wish you well and hope everything settles down. You have a truly amazing and unique ability to make even the most mundane chores feel interesting and soothing. TY Richard!🫂💜💜

    Oh Richard,you are such a lovely person. I hope your work issues resolve soon,they don’t know how lucky they are to have you working for them. Hope you get a better sleep tonight,warm and cosy under your new duvet. Funny I have to have weight on me,or I can’t sleep properly too. Night night to both of you fabsters! ❤️❤️❤️

    The beginning of the video was outstanding, the scene, the music, it was perfect. Thank you. I am sorry for the challenges you are facing at work, I have been in the same position so I know how demoralizing and stressful it is. In such a job working with people, you cannot really quantify the cost of a task in such a cold mechanical way. Humans are not robots. You're the best Richard. Big hugs.

      I was asked to do similar breakdowns of my 3hr shift as a caregiver driving in a Canadian winter to and from soo I did right down to the last coat buttons of my clients. Hmm let’s just say no more?! 🇨🇦🐝👋🏻

    Richard, so sorry you are having to go through that at work. To feel like you have to validate your job is sad. They need to open their eyes. I hope you are also " accounting" for all the time you have to spend documenting your day. Love the stew. Yummy.

    Looks like yummy stew 😋 oh Richard you are such a brilliant thinker you will rise to the occasion no doubt at all. THANKS FOR FOR ALL YOU DO❤ Does Paul use that ash in his compost? 🤔

    Your stoup (stew/soup) looks delicious. I remember my co-workers and I, a few times over the years, having to write down the times we spend on our various work duties for a week or so. What a pain in the butt. It was time consuming. This too will pass. Where I worked, I think it was done to provide statistics for grants, etc. I'm retired now.

    When I hear about time and motion of someone's work I just think that those who have asked for it should do the job themselves for a month.Then they would know why they should thank their lucky stars that there are people in this world that do the job and do it so well. Sorry for the little rant.
    Lovely photography Richard.

    I think you are safe Richard because you are front line work. If they would fire people, they should start with management. They only “manage” people. Good luck!

    I hope you are able to get a good nights sleep. I suffer with insomnia so I understand how hard it can make the next day when you don't sleep. I hope your efficiency tasks show them you are too valuable to not have working there any longer. Everyone is trying to figure out how to make the most of a bad economy and I'm sure many more will be affected over time. My sympathies to you all. I really am in awe of the beautiful sky you get to see all the time. What an incredible view.

    I've only been following for a couple of weeks, but I really enjoy your vlogs. The way you do things, the way you think and feel about things, is, for me, very relatable. ::: You've survived two previous time & motion studies and I'm sure everything will be fine. I'm just sorry they don't seem to appreciate (or care about, perhaps) the distress this sort of thing causes.💗

    • @RichardandPaul
      @RichardandPaul  หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      Thank you...I'm sure it will be fine too, but I just don't like they way they manage these things. It's not how I would handle it if I were a manager.

    Wishing you both a merry Christmas. Front line staff are the most important. Rather than trying to save money investing in front line ultimately creates cost savings in the long run; savings through better management of funds. Managers shouldn’t have to run such an exercise; indeed, they should know what you do. Here’s to a lovely break x

    Meh. Being scrutinised at work is such a pain and feels so personal! It’s hard going when the pressure is on and you feel a bit devalued…it’s clear, always, you are passionate about your work and care about your clients and colleagues, which is why this managerial nonsense is so draining. Hey ho and on we go. Chinny chin Richard…much love to youxx

    Me and a girlfriend noticed we'd both had a bad night earlier in the week. Also noticed it was a fullmoon. Googled fullmoon and insomnia and low and behold this is a thing and it isn't to do with the light of the moon.

    I don't know anyone who enjoys doing time studies at work. One agency had us do them in pencil so they could "correct" them 😮. We did time studies so that funding was properly allocating to the positions from the correct funding source. Did they also time study the busiest month? There may be political maneuvering going on among upper echelons that has nothing to do with you. Or it could be what you think. Can't they tell from your computer work and phone logs how time was being allocated? It will be ok, Richard. I'm steaming Christmas puddings. I wasn't going to do them this year but changed my mind. Grocery stores have been packed with people the past few days in my area.

    You can use pine cones dipped in the melted wax (from those candle remains)to use as fire starters Richard. Also dried orange peels…

      Anything that can be automated (even if badly replicated)will, eventually, be automated. Management may be asking for performance data to find aspects of the job that can be automated. Try not to worry. These things generally move slowly in the public sector.

    Quorn is a mould. Not a mushroom as some people think. I personally wouldn’t touch it. You’d be better not putting that into your body. If you crave meat, eat meat.

    • @RichardandPaul
      @RichardandPaul  หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      I have no problem eating quorn. I enjoy it.

      @ Good. No insult intended. I just can’t get my head around Quorn. It’s highly processed mould.. maybe it’s the future?

    • @RichardandPaul

      We also eat blue cheese...that's mould too.

      @Iseeyou-2-z7s หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @ not sure blue cheese is pure mould pressed into chunks. I think it’s more of a natural process. Anyway. You are what you eat.
