Take a day out after 6 days of work just to worship god and recognize his greatness and give praise. Saturday and Sunday is a Sabbath because it’s the day you’ve given up to god just being in his peace hence it’s the lord’s day
@@LionPride11241968 Where is your bible verse to support this claim? All we know is early on the first day of the week he was found not in the Tomb. This does not indicate any change of the Sabbath. In fact there is only one way to change the Sabbath and only God can do that.
Just imagine something happened and we can no longer tell the time or day(which will never happen) are you stop going to church because you don’t know which day is the special day you worship on. Well I wouldn’t because every day every time every moment belongs to god and I’m free to worship everyday and every time. The sabbath day is a gift to man. Mark 2:27 Hebrews 4:9-10
If you have questions about whether Sabbath still stands, you have to ask yourself what your ulterior motive is for even questioning about the Sabbath. The question you need to ask yourself is, do you love God? If you love God, Sabbath shouldn't be a question, out of obedient in applying the Sabbath because you love God. Do you love God? If you do, you would love to do God's commandments. It's about the attitude of the heart.
This teaching is another example of denomination over doctrine. The Sabbath never changed. "For the Master יהוה does no matter unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets."(Amos 3:7) Calling those who observe the Sabbath on the literal 7th day a "cult" is reckless as well. I would expect more scriptural diligence from Mr. Baucham than to just assume the Sabbath day changed to Sunday because that's what the London or Westminster confessions suggest...
However, I do commend Mr. Baucham for preaching that the 4th Commandment is still relevant for believers today. And I do think it is great when people hold to a Sabbath, even if it is Sunday. These are fellow believers who want to obey יהוה and that is awesome! Most of us were probably in that camp at one point in our lives as well.
@@jwmccullough1313It’s either sabbath day or the first day, it cannot change from the seventh to the first, Mr Baucham is teaching a dangerous message God said the seventh day is the sabbath not the first or one day in seven
I agree with you @jwmccullough1313 this is a denomination doctrine not biblical doctrine They called sabbath keepers legalism but if you lesson to him he puts the same restrictions on the first day of the week as it is on the sabbath, but when he do it it’s not legalism.
Voddie is usually the more solid protestant pastor I listen to, but justifying Sunday as God's instituted Sabbath is WRONG. You are not justified in that conclusion. Sunday worship is good, but it IS NOT, nor will ever be a fulfillment of the 4th commandment/Sabbath. He rested on the 7th day and sanctified it and made it holy...not every day. He did not say, "hey heathens, Im going to give you 7 days, but Im going to let YOU play God and decide which day to rest and fellowship." The entirety of Scripture does not support your conclusion, but church tradition does (NOT GOD) If you claim Sunday as fulfilling Sabbath, you have declared yourself, your pastor and church TRADITION as authority over God. God rebuked the Pharisees for laying aside the commandments of God for traditions of man. Disobedience isnt justified.

If your boss gives you your schedule you can’t then work any day of the week and then tell him well you had me scheduled 5 days so I just choose the 5 days I wanted. The only explanation that’s reasonable to why we worship on Sundays is the Catholic Church wanted to distance themselves from Jews. Saturday was and still is the true sabbath day. If you want to worship on Sundays that’s koo but don’t use Jesus for your reasoning if there’s not direct scripture to back it up.
I agree that the sabbath should be kept but what exactly does that mean? I go to church on Sunday and is that okay? My job makes me work saturdays sometimes is that okay? I’m genuinely trying to follow the lord and I don’t want to disappoint him. What should I be doing Saturdays?
I like Pastor Vodie. One of the best teachers of the word. His teaching on Exodus series, some of the best sermons I have heard in my lifetime of church. Out of respect for him, but this interpretation of Sabath is wrong. My only worry is that it places a focus on the day and on the institution of church than on Christ. He states that we get blessed by obeying the day. He emphasize that missing a church on Sunday is disobedience to the command/law of God. We live in an era where most churches have become cults and are disconnected from the truth of God and Christ. Forcing people to the system is wrong. What if a person has to work on Sunday to provide for his family, must they now quit their job. Our rest is in Christ not on the day or an institution. Everyday belong to him, we offer ourselves to him daily not once a week.

Why does it have to be somebody who belongs to some type of Colt. What if it's just somebody a brother or a sister who simply understands the revelation of God's holy Sabbath presently existing and understanding that God presently commands us to keep it on the 7th Day
We are not under the law but under grace. Jesus fulfilled the whole law for us, because we couldn't for we were sinners. We are saved by grace to so the good works of righteousness to obey God. We even sin with our thoughts and intentions. Thank you Jesus, because of you we are not judge by the law but under grace. Amen ❤️
Just because they got it for something doesn't mean that they was gathering because that day was the Sabbath or because that day was holy. Please listen to what you're saying. There's nothing in the scriptures that tells you that is one day out of seven. But only the seventh day
"The Lord's Day" in scripture never says its Sunday/1st day of the week. He was "Lord of the Sabbath". God's Sabbath is His, not man's declared day. Jesus came "not of himself but to do the will of His father" God says He does not change. Christians have Jesus showing up undoing all God commanded and breaking the Sabbath. He is Lord of the Sabbath, that which God instituted!!! Using Jesus resurrection as a reason to sin against the Sabbath??!? THAT is spitting on the cross of Christ. The "that was for the Jews" theology that Christians love is Dual Covenant theology. Its wrong! You have set up a more palatable Jesus to git the flesh, so you wont actually have to vhange your traditions. This sermon had SO MUCH good, but a terrible conclusion saturated in church tradition, not biblically supported.
The Sabbath is made for man, Not man for the sabbath. God put it in place for our benefit to form a relationship together with him and as a reminder of who God is. There is no other time in the bible that time itself has been blessed and that God himself has called people into remembrance of that time; and to set it aside... there is something very special there.. but if we as humans begin calling all days the same and calling the first day of the week 'sabbath' we are actively working against an institution that God put into existence at the moment he created time itself.. In the beginning was the word and the Word was God and the Word was with God. Jesus was always there, he was the One who told us to remember the sabbath and He is our leader and God, he is who we imitate when we call ourselves Christians and he kept the sabbath. Even in death.. Because the sabbath is the identifying mark of the true and living God.. The Creator. But for all my brothers and sister.. the most important thing is to get to know God for yourself. On the way to heaven we will all sing about the wonderful love of Jesus, of his mercy and grace. AMEN!!
i might be wrong but is the sabbath day also not the seventh day of the week wich is actually Saturday. We all know Sunday is the first day of the week. If we are commanded to rest on the sabbath day which is actually a Saturday why do we insist on Sunday the first day of the week. Christ rose on the first day of the week and he is our sabbath. and we need to rest in him and him in us. The sabbath day does not change just because he rose on the first day of the week. Are we doing what Sadducee and Pharisees were doing now. Focusing on the rules instead of Christ. The rules and commandments have been fulfilled by Christ. When you follow Christ you and obey him you observe the lords day everyday....spoke too much I'm sorry.
Because "rituals out live belief". The tradition of man has continued saturating the church practice and dishonoring the commandments of God seem justified. It is not justified. Once you come to the Truth of Scripture (not man), we are faced with a choice: obey or disobey. The word fulfill is like "filling up, give purpose, completeness". He now gives fullness to why you should want to obey or meaning. By using fulfill as "doing away with", as much of the church adheres to, Christ also was the fulfillment of love in Scripture, so we won't need to do that either? See how that doesn't make sense? The Pharisees preferred their man-made traditions over the commandments of God, just as the church does today. Jesus himself said "If you love me keep my commandments". We show our love to him by obeying God's commands, including the set-apart Sabbath, not disobeying and making up our own. I hope that helps.
God said, "Six days you shall work, but on the seventh day, God rested. Because our beginning week is different from Israel, the Sabbath for Israel is Saturday since their first day of the week falls on Sunday. Westerner, the beginning of the week, falls on Monday, so Sunday would be Sabbath.
You did not speak too much. You are correct. You said well. Christ is our rest. He is the Lord of the Sabbath. He is our rest everyday. The Sabbath were given to the nation of Israel to separate them from the worldly nations. Being separated from the world to God. Now in Christ, he is our rest.
Okay. If you're saying that we celebrate Sunday because of the Sunday Resurrection. Riddle me this. What if Jesus Christ was not risen on a Sunday. And if that be the case where then do you get your reasoning from. When you read this if you read this don't dismiss it!! Play fast if you have to study it. Christ was not risen on Sunday How can you dye Friday evening and ride Sunday morning any elementary School student can tell you that you can't get 3 days out of that And please don't tell me that they counted different then Because God established how we count from creation, when he said the evening and the morning were the first day which means that the day begins at evening and ends at evening. Jesus Christ did not rise on a Sunday morning he rose on a Sabbath before sunset And if that be the case then the obviously he did not die on a Friday.
Even if Jesus Christ did rise on a Sunday if he didn't say that the Sabbath has now been changed to Sunday, then why have men taken it upon themselves to call Sunday the Sabbath just because Jesus supposedly rose on a Sabbath. Because if Jesus is the lord of the Sabbath then wouldn't he have to be the one to change it. . There's nothing in the scripture that ever says that that The Seventh-Day Sabbath was changed to Sunday because he rose on a Sunday. Stop it you can't find scripture to ever say that
The word sabbath means to rest god rested on the seventh day hence the seventh day is A sabbath of god. It’s not the physical but the spirit it’s not day it’s the meaning the rest god took time to reflect on his on his completed work god is almighty he needs not to rest hence this rest is different this is being in awe of gods work being in peace just glorifying god worshiping god recognizing his sovereignty. It’s the taking of the time out just for the worshiping god. The day became holy because god rested on it so if god had rested on the sixth day it would’ve been a sabbath and holy. Please read Romans 14 it’s very important you do.
Or are you saying we need to go to your church and pay you offerings. The apostles and new church met on Sunday not the sabbath. Anything else is false gospel. This is Old testament under the Law, and if your under the Law you spit in the face of the Christ for what He did on the Cross. The blind will disagree
They met every day of the week. This doesn't negate the Sabbath command. Your belief is a man-interpreted doctrine and very erroneous. Please continue to pray and study to show yourself approved. Right now you are using grace & the cross to justify disobedience. The Bible specifically deals with this error
We rest in the Lord, but he is not our replacement Sabbath, in Scripture. He gives it meaning and purpose and we should desire to honor and obey His command, not find ways to do it our own way.
@billykid6824 (and others) -- if not already done, please consider: Acts 13:42-47 KJV [42] And when the Jews were gone out of the synagogue, the Gentiles besought that these words might be preached to them the next sabbath. [43] Now when the congregation was broken up, many of the Jews and religious proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas: who, speaking to them, persuaded them to continue in the grace of God. [44] And the next sabbath day came almost the whole city together to hear the word of God. [45] But when the Jews saw the multitudes, they were filled with envy, and spake against those things which were spoken by Paul, contradicting and blaspheming. [46] Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles. [47] For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, That thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth.

AMEN!!
In agreement with you.
God Bless
Agreed. Do you think it should be Saturday or Sunday?
i might be wrong but is the sabbath day also not the seventh day of the week wich is actually Saturday.
You are correct. The sabbath has more to do with the spiritual than the physical. We rest in Christ.
Amen @@arelygomez8710
God made the seventh day holy because he rested on it hence it’s a sabbath. The seventh day became A sabbath not THE sabbath became the seventh day
Christ was not risen on Sunday
How can you dye Friday evening and ride Sunday morning any elementary School student can tell you that you can't get 3 days out of that
And please don't tell me that they counted different then
Because God established how we count from creation, when he said the evening and the morning were the first day which means that the day begins at evening and ends at evening.
Jesus Christ did not rise on a Sunday morning he rose on a Sabbath before sunset
And if that be the case then the obviously he did not die on a Friday.
Stop it you can't find scripture to ever say that
Voddie, Christ was resurrectd on Saturday the seventh day of the week.
The Bible says Jesus was resurrected on the first day of the week. Which is Sunday.
@@arelygomez8710 please read again, Mt 28:1, Lk 24:1, Jn 20:1 Mk 16:1 and 2. Ist day of the week is Sunday. He was already risen.
@@arelygomez8710 Agreed. He rested on the 7abbath day
Please people read Romans 14
Stop letting your biases make you lose sight on the revelation Sunday is not the Sabbath
Lol
Or are you saying we need to go to your church and pay you offerings. The apostles and new church met on Sunday not the sabbath. Anything else is false gospel. This is Old testament under the Law, and if your under the Law you spit in the face of the Christ for what He did on the Cross. The blind will disagree
Have you even listened to his sermon.. ?
@@Sadaloua lol no however he does need to give up 10% income salary to the God's Church

Acts 13:42-47 KJV
[42] And when the Jews were gone out of the synagogue, the Gentiles besought that these words might be preached to them the next sabbath.
