I suffer from time blindness too...its called ADHD....it just means that you get stuck, and have a hard time staying on task due to hyper activity from Adhd. My daughter suffers from it too and we have to make list for her so she doesn't spend 40 minutes in the bathroom, or forget items. If you have an Adhd child, this isn't actually a joke. But that's my problem and there is treatments and routines you do to avoid it.

I wish you and your kid luck. I used to be manager to a woman with ADHD and the subsequent time blindness, it was a nightmare, I’d literally go home and cry! She lived 10 minutes across the road, I don’t understand why she was incapable of setting alarms to countdown when she needed to leave to get to work on time. Instead she would be late everyday, I’ve already given the ‘what’s going on today’ talk to the rest of the team and now 100 animals are waiting to be let out, fed and medicated, but I can’t get on because I needed to wait for her to give the talk again and try to tell her what she’s on that day…so the whole day descends into chaos! And the lateness was the easiest problem she created. 20 years I worked in animal rescue, 10 of those years with multiple sclerosis and she’s what broke me. Obviously she shouldn’t be caring for animals, it was insane, but you can’t fire staff easily for a medical condition in the UK, she should have been responsible herself and found more appropriate work.
Not the same and even if, set the alarm clock earlier and be on time! Sorry but regular people like us, nobody cares if our bus/train was late or if we overslept, nobody cares! If you want to get paid, do your work, be on time or would you like your paycheck to come a few days later because they had some issues?! If you work at a company you agreed to certain rules and being on time is one of them!

They agreed to certain things signing the contract and being on time is one of them. I would not hesitate firing her. In Germany you can fire staff if they repeatedly come to work late and not change behavior even if the issue was addressed.
All I’m gonna say is, I’d bet our paychecks that she finds a way to leave work on time.
