Thanks very much for this video, the google map link was very useful. We practiced for my sons driving test at Grantham using the link and when it came to test day…..they took him over the exact same route!! He passed with just 2 minor faults. Thanks again and good luck to everyone else taking their test at the Grantham test centre 👍🏻
Loved this so much it was so helpful and reassuring for my test soon in Grantham! Wanted my test in Peterborough but found a cancellation in Grantham !
Fantastic Leon well done! 👏 👏 So glad these videos are proving useful. I’ve got a bit behind and have a load more Peterborough tests to upload. No more in Grantham yet.
Hi Alice. With the rush to get tests that will come after this lockdown, I’m sure I’ll be visiting Grantham again. Hopefully in time to provide you with any help you need.
Good luck to her! If you pop me a message on WhatsApp (my number is on the website / Facebook page) I’ll send you some more routes that I’ve not finished an edit on yet to make public.
Good idea 👍. Run around the one way bits in town, go to the roundabout near Asda as that can catch you out. A bit of local experience certainly can’t hurt.
Hi I struggled to make the links work on google maps. If you have a TomTom sat nav I have lots of routes including this one that I can share with you - you copy the files to SD card and load them on. Alternatively I can hire you a TomTom with the routes pre loaded. If that’s of interest please get in contact
So how I understand on emergency stop you don't check mirrors? I know it's sounds ridiculous 👌but I just can't help it,everytime I am about to do an emergency stop I think about mirrors and what's behind me 🙄🙈
Yep no mirror check. I know it seems odd but it’s a panic situation where stopping is priority number 1. Before the examiner gives you the stop ✋ instruction they will check all mirrors and turn around to look out of the back window. They will only do it if they’re totally happy nobody is following you. Just don’t smash the brake when they turn round as you’ll really hurt them 😬. They’ll give you a brief on it before you do it.
Any particular bit of it? Basically brake very hard like someone has run out in front of you when the examiner says stop. As shown in the video they won’t just randomly do it, they’ll get you to pull over, they’ll explain what they want you to do, then you drive off and do it. Once car stopped, handbrake on and neutral (or park in auto). When examiner says to move on, get car ready to go then when it’s safe remember your left side then right side blind spots before you move off. When Deciding if it’s safe to move off use the same judgment that you’d normally use when moving off. Miss your blind spot - tell the examiner - you’re showing that even though you didn’t do it, you know you should. It made the difference between a pass and a fail on one customers test.
Theres a link in the description. Click on that link from the youtube mobile app and it should open google maps with a route to follow. hope that helps
Another option - I now hire out TomTom sat navs with test routes saved on it. You get a booket with a map and brief description of each route. If you're interested pop me a message on whatapp or through my facebook page and we can arrange it.
The road 60 speed when you going off from testing centre and after the round about..I have to drive exactly on 60? Could you do more roundabouts in Grantham? I have tried booking my test but there are no dates available till next year 🙄🙈 Is this normal? Thanks alot!
Doesn't have to be 60 exactly you can be a little bit slower just drive at a normal speed and don't go over 60. And In terms of booking a test date try look at some apps to find test cancellations

I took my test in grantham when the test centre was on cecil street in grantham opposite the fish bar.
Ha ha, I took mine before it moved to Cecil st, when it was on Avenue Rd.

Before my test in Grantham, I seriously need to bring my motorbike (my only vehicle) and do some test routes to see if I fail any road marking

hi i wanted to ask when you first exit out of the driving test centre there is a faint stop line do we have to stop there too?
@@nithmaliyanage2967 apparently they used to enforce that stop line on the left but no I’ve not had anyone have to do that since I’ve been visiting.

Have you got any more Grantham test footage please?
Hi Leon. Sorry I haven’t had any more tests in Grantham. The videos on here are all of the tests that I’ve done there.
Is this the only route they do?
