- เผยแพร่เมื่อ 21 พ.ย. 2021
- Release date: July 1991
Album: Use Your Illusion II, track 12
With an original 4:3 aspect ratio that includes every detail, with the best possible sound and image quality. + uncut, full length, so along with the outro, which many other uploads have unfortunately missed.
Song:
Axl Rose - lead vocals
Slash - lead guitar, rhythm guitar
Izzy Stradlin - rhythm guitar, backing vocals
Duff McKagan - bass, backing vocals
Matt Sorum - drums
Video:
"The music video for the song was directed by Andy Morahan, Stan Winston and Jeffrey Abelson. A T-800 Terminator is assembled, given the appearance of Arnold Schwarzenegger, and dispatched to assassinate the band at one of their concerts. The video consists of clips from the movie, including its teaser trailer, intercut with footage of the band performing the song as the T-800 makes his way to the front of the crowd. After the song ends, he confronts the band as they leave the venue through a back door and analyzes each member individually; Izzy Stradlin is absent at this point, replaced by keyboardist Dizzy Reed. The T-800 scans W. Axl Rose last and concludes that killing the band would be a "Waste of Ammo". Lowering his shotgun, he gives Rose a brief smirk and walks away.
As the video features clips from the movie, it could not be put on the DVD Welcome to the Videos due to licensing issues. The video was also not included on any of the DVD releases of Terminator 2: Judgment Day, although it was included with a special double tape edition of the film, released on VHS in 1993." This was a marriage made in heaven.
Everyone involved was in their top shape. Arnie was the absolute action superstar of his generation at this point(bigger than Stallone), reunited with James Cameron, Stan Winston, Industrial Light&Magic and having the theme song played by none other than Guns N´Roses, also at the top of their game.
And this was the highest grossing of 1991, a year which also featured Robin Hood: Prince of thieves, The Last Boy Scout, Rocketeer, Hook, Backdraft, Cape Fear, Thelma&Louise, The Fisher King, Silence of the Lambs.
Damn, 1991 was a good year.
I was born in 1991. I hope that still makes it a good year.

True
Agreed ! I still love to listen to this. Some songs age poorly, but not this one.
This and Nightrain are my two favorite GNR songs. I’m in my 40’s now and I wouldn’t trade the era we grew up in for anything. Awesome times.

One of the best hard rock songs ever. Practically the definition of hard rock, vocally and musically.
Agree
When I was a kid I’d ride my dirt bike and listen to this song on my Walkman. I’d turn around and act like the T-1000 was after me lol. Good times!!
My sister and muhself used to do that (sans Walkman). She'd be on her bike and I'd be the T-1000.
@@judsongaiden9878 we did the same thing. I’d try to tag her on her bike and I’d always say no I got you with my knife arms lol
Yeah terminator T-1000 the best terminator
I knew I wasn’t the only one who acts like their being chased by movie characters
@Daniel Doubler I was just about to say some shit like that
One of the greatest cross promotions between a movie and a band ever. This video on MTV created the perfect tension before the movie was released with just small snippets of the film paired with pieces of the "Terminator Factory" teaser and Schwarzenegger's cameo appearance here. A masterpiece!
Fun fact: In the original screenplay, John's buddy's boombox had "I wanna be sedated" by The Ramones playing when they were on the bike instead of this one.
It was Arnie who got Guns N Roses on Terminator 2 because he's a big fan
Ac dc did it to but for a less popular Arnold movie it’s called big gun
This came out before the movie hit theatres?!
@@Cott-wf6pf Yup. This came out in July and the movie premiered on (Friday) September 13th.

Arnold and Guns - legends creating legendary art
Man Slash is a legend, just when you think the song couldn't get any cooler he pushes it up a gear with an ass kicking guitar solo.
couldnt find a better band for this awesome movie, this is perfection
Fun Fact: You could be mine is an appetite for destruction recording that got cut. Imagine if it was on that album. Wild
Utilized it well on use your illusion 2
Glad it did.
1) It wouldn't fit the overall sound of Appetite
2) It would have been Steven drumming. His version isn't as strong/raw as this version with Matt on the drums. Goes for the illusion albums as a whole. Civil War could easily fit on Appetite since the sound/style is very Adler like and thus GNR Appetite era like.
@@DaGuyver that's not why it wasn't added, they said they already had so many killer songs on Appetite, like Welcome for the Jungle and it would have been to much so they saved it for their next album
@@jamm1eify Well. They had some of the Illusions songs already before Appetite. Don't Cry, Civil War among others. It just doesn't fit Appetite the way they wanted. Same with the EP. Appetite was their debut and basically first full production release. The songs were basically already set. They already knew what they wanted on the album before they went into the sessions. A lot of songs aren't written after Appetite but before or during that period. Those songs aren't on Appetite because they don't sit well the way their debut was supposed to sound. Basically everything where Adler is involved is pre Illusions or even pre Appetite.
That’s so cool!
The 90s FUCKING ROCKED!!!!!!
This song was made for all us watching early GNR on Mtv. We watched it all even looked up old New York Giants stadium where they had a concert. This song was our reward GNR at its peak.

I like how Arnie smiles at the very end =) That is super amazing!
This seriously kicks ass, still fresh to this day. In fact almost all of the UYI songs are timeless , unique , no other band came close to the awesome tone of the albums.
So true.....the tonr is incredibile open and fresh .....
Duffs bassline is brilliant. I love that hollow sound he gets from picking between the p&j pickups
I was a teenager when this came out. Fell in love with this song immediately. 30 years passed and nothing changed. GNR 4EVER!
I was in highschool when this came out... was so addicted to GNR
I was 18 when T2 came out. It was one the first few movies that I went to the cinema to see by myself, without my Dad. This is the song that got me into GNR.

I'm a cold heartbreaker
Fit to burn and I'll rip your heart in two
And I'll leave you lyin' on the bed
I'll be out the door before you wake
It's nothin' new to you
'Cause I think we've seen that movie too, oh
'Cause you could be mine
But you're way out of line
With your bitch slap rappin'
And your cocaine tongue
You get nothin' done
I said you could be mine, oh
Now holidays come and then they go
It's nothin' new today
Collect another memory
When I come home late at night
Don't ask me where I've been
Just count your stars I'm home again, oh
'Cause you could be mine
But you're way out of line, ow
With your bitch slap rappin'
And your cocaine tongue
You get nothin' done
I said you could be mine
You could be mine
You could be mine
You could be mine
You could be mine
You could be mine, mine, mine, mine
Ooh, you've gone sketchin' too many times
Ooh, why don't you give it a rest
Why must you find
Another reason to cry?
While you're breakin' down my back and
I been rackin' out my brain
It don't matter how we make it
'Cause it always ends the same
You can push it for more mileage
But your flaps are wearin' thin
And I could sleep on it 'til mornin'
But this nightmare never ends
Don't forget to call my lawyers
With ridiculous demands
And you can take the pity so far
But it's more than I can stand
'Cause this couch-trip's gettin' older
Tell me, how long has it been?
'Cause five years is forever
And you haven't grown up yet
Oh, you could be mine
But you're way out of line
With your bitch slap rappin'
And your cocaine tongue
You get nothin' done
I said you could be
You should be
You could be mine
Oh, you could be mine (you could be mine)
You could be mine (you could be mine)
Oh, you could be mine (you could be mine)

A legendary song for a legendary movie! 🤟🏼
Watching T-2:Judgement Day, with a mate years later, I commented on the GnR link, being this song for the dirt bike/semi-trailer chase scene, and then the box of roses that Arnie hides the Rosco in, and when the roses hit the floor my mate goes, ‘oh yeah, I never even noticed that!’ We smoked a lot back then! 🤷🏼♂️🤣
