One of the greatest cross promotions between a movie and a band ever. This video on MTV created the perfect tension before the movie was released with just small snippets of the film paired with pieces of the "Terminator Factory" teaser and Schwarzenegger's cameo appearance here. A masterpiece! Fun fact: In the original screenplay, John's buddy's boombox had "I wanna be sedated" by The Ramones playing when they were on the bike instead of this one.
Glad it did. 1) It wouldn't fit the overall sound of Appetite 2) It would have been Steven drumming. His version isn't as strong/raw as this version with Matt on the drums. Goes for the illusion albums as a whole. Civil War could easily fit on Appetite since the sound/style is very Adler like and thus GNR Appetite era like.

I was 13 when this song came out and I got Guns N’ Roses tattooed at 21. They my favorite band . I’m 46 now .
went to see them 3 years ago in Boston was dealing with a migraine...they played this song headache gone!
You can sleep until the morning but the NIGHTMARE never Ends.
But this night will never end
Don't forget to call my lawyers with ridiculous demands.
I'm a cold heartbreaker fit to burn and I'll rip your heart in two
And I'll leave you lying on the bed
Is still one of the fkn best opening lines of a song ever 🔥🔥
I love these old soundtrack videos that showed the band and pieces of the movie. I remember watching these a lot as a kid. spotting when it was the movie and when it was the band.
When I was 6 years old my favorite movie was Terminator 2 and that's where I heard Guns N Roses for the first time! Sick!
Me 12 snaked into cinema and got kicked out by seat guard, lol
@@ckgaming2366 im 38 and its still my favorite...sad they cant get james cameron back fully to actually make T3
Hasn't aged one bit in 30 over years... This song is legendary.
Probably the most perfect minute and ten seconds intro of all time for this music genre!
I'm 41! And still absolutely love this song and movie!!!! Still playing this song in my house
Im a 60s 70s music lover and the 80s were excellent ❤
So much nostalgia with this movie
God damn
No better song for this masterpiece of cinematography!
It took me 33 years to piece together the little nod to Guns and Roses in the movie.
Love this song!!
Seriously this song cannot be more bad ass!!!!
Thanks VH1 for introducing this song to me.... As a small town Indian these songs weren't so popular at that time in India 👍
Man Slash is a legend, just when you think the song couldn't get any cooler he pushes it up a gear with an ass kicking guitar solo.
One of my all time favorite Slash solos..
November Rain is another one.
He has so many. But this song is linked to Terminator 2. Makes it more awesome.
I could listen to it 30 times in a row. literally an Orgasm. the last phrase of the solo is WILD. As a guitar player, I know only Slash could ever create those notes in that cadence. straight from the ragged soul
His best
No existe ni va a existir otra banda asi nunca mas 👋👋👋👋
Awesome core memories of me and my best friend in elementary school on the swingset jamming out to this on his boombox! simpler times ! Great song and great times !
Good times! The last era of good action movies, good rock n' roll bands, good pop groups and singers, good comedies and romantic movies... my generation is lucky to had lived the final era of good entertainment.
GnR at their absolute peak + One of the greatest movies of all time = This.
When I play this on my sound bar, all of my neighbors get to enjoy it also!!
😊😊
6:14 That lil' smile on T-800's face it's pure gold
Olkkjj
There's no particular decade defining element in the song, it will always sound fresh and be TIMELESS.
I¨ll never forget this film and this piece of music in my twenties. Ahh.
Greatest movie and soundtrack compilation ever.
Go on try think of anything that comes even remotely close... I'll wait hahahaha
I agree it's a freakin' great combination but so was the soundtrack for Conan the Barbarian(also starring Arnold). That music made you want to go out and conquer a small kingdom!
Anyone that's seen these guys live will know they sound just as good, remember axel's energy on stage he could of ran a marathon, awesome band !
De las mejores canciones que escuché en mi vida! La intro, la potencia/energía, riff, todo!!! El combo perfecto con la película!!!!
This was my childhood, I miss the good old days
How on earth has it been over 30 years. I remember being excited for t2 that summer and waiting for this amazing song and video to come on on mtv. Those were the days!
Awesome how this movie and song are all still popular 35+ years later! Few stand the test of time like this! It was a great time to be a Gen Xer!
I was in highschool when this came out... was so addicted to GNR
I was 18 when T2 came out. It was one the first few movies that I went to the cinema to see by myself, without my Dad. This is the song that got me into GNR.
I was a teenager when this came out. Fell in love with this song immediately. 30 years passed and nothing changed. GNR 4EVER!
Best soundtrack ever!!! ❤❤❤
song and movie way ahead of its time
Should be 2.1 billion views
I know right!
SOMEONE IN 2024, LISTENING UNTIL THE END OF TIME 🙌🔥⚡
guns n’ roses are never my first choice for hard rock but this song is just a masterpiece. 0:53 kicks ass EVERY time 🤘
Curious. Who are your first choice if not GNR?
@@SEIFER69 gotta be van halen or motörhead all day
@@dolph41taylor57 I both like and dislike a lot of van Halen. But I need to hear more Motorhead. As maybe everyone does?
@@SEIFER69 I only know of Lemmy from Airbourne Runnin’ Wild video. And only because of Canadian Trucker Convoy video that someone posted February 2022. (I am 🇨🇦).
