Absolutely Southgate has an ego issue, I've been saying this for so long and FINALLY people are waking up to it. He's a feeble insecure man who is grasping on to the only thing he feels he has (his style of play and team selection) that gives him any significance, and if it changes it he feels he'll be a nobody.
Southgate is so predictable he will probably swap Mainoo for Gallagher now and go defensive now that he is playing better opposition.

All this is a big wake up call for football fans. This is all about lessons in discernment. Everyone's being told one thing by the England camp, whereas millions of England fans can see what they are saying is either untrue or denial of the reality everyone can see. It's the same in politics and big business. They live in a bubble and will do everything to manipulate the public into believing lies are truth.
You can't fool football fans, they can see Southgate is not up to the standard of winning international tournaments, and gets exposed each time he and his overly defensive team meets a more determined attacking opposition.

I wouldn`t say drop him, just take away the Capt`s armband, and not let him have the stigma that goes with it, i mean he is hardly a demanding Capt is he?
