  • In the realm of sushi omakase in San Francisco, Hashiri stands out as my personal favorite. Renowned for its authentic Edomae style from Tokyo, this establishment proudly held a Michelin star for three consecutive years, from 2017 to 2019. Currently, Hashiri is under the expert guidance of the new executive chef, Toshiaki Ono, who brings his experience from the esteemed restaurant Kiyota in Tokyo-a recipient of the Silver Tabelog Award. Keep watching to see everything I enjoyed in their Petite Omakase Edomae Sushi!

Whether it is a personal favorite or new places I always appreciate the care that goes into the channel's videos. With the very shallow field of focus (wide open aperture on the lens to allow more light in) at 4:09 as chef moved through the various dishes, the focus kept right up and it reminded me of the work going in on the other side of the camera to document the beautiful creations by the chefs. BTW -I'm not a huge sardine fan but it was a knockout at the end before the desert. 😋

Basically you are saying it’s not worth it. You go to a restaurant first and foremost for its food. Your rating for their food is the lowest of all the categories you rated. That says it all. Location is 5. But who cares about location if Food is only 4. I would go in a hart beat if it’s the other way

The food rating and location rating are not correlated. Also, a food rating of 4 is considered quite high since my food rating is very important and harsh. As for location, it's much easier to score a high point because my standards for location is quite minimal. Hopefully helps you understand my rating system
