Bus number 309 directly returns to Taichung Station and is infrequent. It seems that you can get on at the bus stop "No. 18 Windmill" where I got off. Many buses to "Qingshui Station", so there is also a way to change there to Taichung Station. Bus times and routes are also displayed in real time on Google Maps, so you can trust this. Because the information on GoogleMap was correct in any area during my trip to Taiwan. (In Thailand, Google Map information was unreliable. I had to install and use the Thai domestic bus app.)
