In the beginning it shows Suelgi with a scar on her face and this represents that they have been hurt in the past so now they think nothing they do is in the wrong so keep that in mind.
The pizza dude comes and the girls try to make him come back and he does
When they are eating the green jellie blindfolded this means they know have his trust.
They're saying Peek-a-boo which is a phrase we use to scare someone
But now he is under their spell
When they the weapon they are practicing for when they are going to kill him
When the pizza dude goes to the phone to call for help, there is a sign saying MISSING DELIVERY BOYS this is one one the hints that shows they have done this many time before and there other delivery shirts from when the murdered other delivery people

red velvet is so unique, they create new and unique concepts;)
Yeah, the music video is my favorite!! It is like a treasure hunt of clues and once you put it all together you wonder how you ever missed it! The full moon is important. The MV skips around a bit timewise. When the girls appear to be trying to kill each other, they aren't, they are actually training (on each other) various murder methods. They order pizza. A lot. Hence all the pizza boxes. When they order pizza not on the full moon, it is to pick a target. The next time they order it will be the full moon, and the pizza delivery boy will not be so lucky. As you can see from their prize collection of delivery boy polo shirts they have in display cases. They lure the poor unsuspecting guy in, and basically start their game.
They run around and playfully chase him, bringing him past all the signs of their former conquests/victims. Then they are all sitting, blindfolded with a green jello ring in front of them. He must think it's a food eating challenge (since he is tied up and blindfolded) so he dives in face first. The girls all take off their blindfolds and leave him, to go get their various weapons. Next we see one of the girls run back and get him, to "save him".
The member that is saving keeps changing, because all of the girls have played that part with the various pizza boys. We see Yeri with the crossbow aim and miss him (but he gets winged by it). This is what they were training for. Not to kill with the weapons, but they were training to make it look like they were trying to kill without actually killing.
So pizza boy makes it out, with the help of one of the members, and she is in the car when he stops at the first phone booth he sees. On the side of that phone booth is a poster with TONS of missing delivery boys pictures. Since the girls are experts at this, they know that the victim will stop at the first phone booth, therefore they have disconnected it, hence the "this phone is not in service" and at the last, we see the member get out of the car, and slam the door. It is at this time, that the pizza boy meets his end, and is liberated of his polo shirt (their trophy). RIP, pizza boy.
So yes, creepy video, but SO much fun, and very old school horror flick-ey. It's a good contrast with the upbeat, happy sounding song (although the pre-chorus is somewhat creepy, it is in a minor key or the note intervals that they are using are sort of dissonant sounding and not as pleasing to the ear, so it makes one feel ill at ease slightly, before resolving into the pleasant, boppy chorus).

Thank you so much for reacting to Red Velvet! This might get a bit long and I might miss some stuff but here it goes: The most important part of the MV is the moon, you can tell that they only kill during the full moon. They keep practicing and playing around with their victims until it's full moon that's when they kill them. For example at the end the girls always pretend that one of them falls in love with him and tries saving the victim ,that's why it's always a different girl running away with him, but at the end it's a trap, that's why he's dead like the others at the end of the video. It's like a creepy way of interpreting the song's lyrics that tell how some people just see love as a game going around breaking hearts cause it's fun. You missed the clues throughout the MV that indicates that they probably dont eat pizza (maybe they're monsters or dead girls seeking for revenge, there's many theories in the fandom), hence why there's several shots of them playing with it rather than eat it, and that they have done this multiple times before, like the mountains of pizza boxes, the glass cased trophies and the missing delivery boys poster at the phone booth. I'm sorry for the long explanation I just really love this MV cause I'm a horror movie fan. Please react to Zimzalabim and Automatic by Red Velvet if you can! I would love to hear your opinion :)

The have the most soft and powerful vocals in the same time
okay so basically from what I remember, they DID kill him. There were a few subtle hints like the missing posters on the phone booth, the t-shirts in the glass cases, and the stacks of uneaten pizzas. This comeback was intended to feel creepy and cult-y. If you notice, none of the girls eat throughout the entire video instead playing games with the food implying that they do not require food (or at least normal food) to function. The t-shirts in the boxes were for other food delivery services and belonged to their previous victims. Hence why the pizza boy in the video dissapeared and then we see his shirt in the glass class implying that they killed him. It is unclear why or what they killed him for but that's part of the whole theme. Mysterious, witchy, culty, creepy. I also recommend you watching RBB (or "Really Bad Boy") the vocals are absolutely insane and its very interesting production and one of my favorite comebacks.

sam! i’m not sure if you’ve been told yet but red velvet have two (sort of three) very distinct concepts relating to their name! *red velvet*
red being the “fun”, “livelier” concept (with songs like red flavor, rookie, happiness, ice cream cake and dumb dumb) and the velvet being a more “mature”, “sensual” concept (with songs like psycho, automatic and one of these nights)
when i said that there was a third concept i was talking about a mix of the red and velvet sides of their music (which is songs like russian roulette and peek-a-boo, though i think most people count peek-a-boo under the velvet concept and russian roulette under the red concept!)
Omg this one is another good song that describes Red Velvet's dark side, you haven't seen the fun side of the girls but I'm sure you're going to like it and crave for more of their stuffs. I recommend to watch "Happiness" first as it's their debut song.
Btw, even cheerful and fun, some of their lively music has something dark beneath if you watch carefully which I'm sure you will do.

they did kill him tho 😂 if you see on the payphone there's a sign that reads "missing pizza boys". They pretend to save him just to kill him after, that why the phone goes mute and cue to his shirt on a glass frame. Also, through the mv you can see a lot of different pizza boys shirts, symbolizing the ones they already killed. The whole mv was just them "practicing", that's why they take different turns doing the same stuff.

LOL you said you were sure that they'd kill the pizza guy at one point, well, at the very last scene you can see a red shirt inside a glass case. It's the pizza guy's uniform, they did kill him in the end and kept the shirt as some sort of a trophy.
If you paid attention to the scene where they run around the house you'll see a lot of glass cases with pizza delivery guy's uniform in different colors. At some point you could also see a pile of pizza boxes of different brands. It showed that they ordered a lot of pizzas and each delivery guy who came to them was killed.
When the pizza guy made the phone call you could also see the missing pizza guys notice posted on the phone booth.

A subtle detail that rewatching reveals: one of the member's dresses is always mismatched with respect to the rest. Plaid versus plain, variegated blue versus rainbow stripes, sparkly versus not. Towards the end, the rebellious member trying to save the pizza boy is wearing the dominant (rainbow) color scheme, while her _simultaneous presence_ with the group is the odd one out. There are just so many layers to think about with this video!
