1979 Oldsmobile 98 Regency
Seen here is an all original Oldsmobile 98 Regency with 2,650 title verified original miles, save for a repaint being the only deviation from original, but still in the factory color. A fine example from the 1979 model year where automobiles still had the stigma where status was measured by the inch, and the more Detroit iron the car had, definitely the better. Space abounded with the interior, and it almost got to the point where they would be putting TV's in and handing the passenger a remote!

I miss Oldsmobile!
Color code 79, Dark Carmine Red , Carmine interior
I sold a lot of these
in 78/79/80
Huge popular color too back then ❤
My dad had this EXACT car. He bought it new in 79 and gave it to me in 81 when I got my drivers license. I will always remember that car. Just curious.....what was the MSRP at the time? I'm going to guess it was somewhere between $9k-$11k.
Correct you are. I still have that very paint chip card #79, Dark Carmine from when my dad bought a ‘79 Caprice in that colour.
I wish they still built cars like that.
That is a beautiful beautiful car.
GORGEOUS CAR MAN🙌🏼!!!
my favorite car
Would liked to have had a longer video showing the interior better.
I had one with the crappy conversion diesel 350, every thing was wonderful about the car but the engine 😢
I had one back in 1979 how much did it sell for
yeah.. and GM "had" to shut down Olds... that was maybe 10.K brand new and order by the customer... not ..well we found one on a lot in Ohio with most of what you wanted......
Cooper disappears.
Color code 79, Dark Carmine Metallic.
Nice, but the 1980-84 Olds 98 were better looking , Our 77 wasn't very good, the 79 was better, but the 84 was the best.. RIP Oldsmobile.....
I think the later ones were better looking, too...but you couldn't get the 403 engine like the '77-'79 had.
Absolutely not.
