This. I have schizophrenia and I’m stable on meds now, I doubt anyone would think I do unless I told them. Which is something I never do except my closest family members and friends. I wish they would change the name to something that isn’t so scary sounding, stigmatized and with such negative connotations.
I have high functioning autism so I went to a school with other disabled teens. There was a physical disabled guy on my van named Haseef (it’s spanish so I don’t know if I’m spelling it right) and he was a great guy and one of the nicest people I met.
I am a disabled and mentally ill person and I approve this message.
(But we much prefer being called "disabled people" because it's dehumanising when able-bodied people treat our disability like an accessory that we can just take off)

Right! I waitressed before and had creepers. I went to my manager and made sure they took those tables from that point on. She should go to her manager and let them know whats going on so shes not uncomfortable. This man will take it to the next level. Hes playing mind games with her now like a cat playing with its prey. Hes grooming her to see how far he can take his sick games. Her fear only feeds him.

To the young lady from story six, if this guy is making you feel in anyway in danger, no job is worth your safety. I would quit right away or at least look for another job and then leave. Don't wait and give this guy any chance to bother you further. Be safe.

@Aarthick S I thought the same, she didn't mention any guilt she had and that pissed me off even more. Like, YES, it is the robbers fault but she made things worse and potentially triggered circumstances to get the son killed and she doesn't seem to give a crap about her role in it.

That story pissed me off. She should feel guilty but she latched on to his family and used them for emotional support. Her actions or rather inaction lead to his death.
I thought the same exact thing silver, but came to the conclusion that you never know what you would do in that exact same scenario. But I do think if they would've handed the money over, instead of making a fast movement of getting down on the ground, everyone would still be alive.

Thanks to working in retail I'm paranoid, in that situation I would make an excuse like I have to get change and go warn my coworkers that the customer is being suspicious and making me uncomfortable. At least then someone else is on guard just incase. Yet another reason why waitresses and retail workers need to make more money because the stuff they deal with is ridiculous.
silver - did I miss something in the story? She was asked to hand over the money, was trying to hand over the money, the son walked over, robber shot him, he died almost immediately, robber then fled.

To the girl refusing the $100 tip, tell your boss. Tell the owner. Make a buddy system for ways home. Tell someone what route you're taking & when you'll get there. Get mace. Or make it (diy recipes). Make sure your phone always has a charge before leaving. That man isn't suddenly mad cause somethings else has made him mad. You refusing to be bullied into screwing him for $100 makes him mad. Which in itself is insulting. Quality escorts charge waaayyyy more, so he's not only trying to push you into something gross, but he's trying to do it on the cheap. If he can't afford a hooker, that's not your problem. Do not give him the benefit of the doubt. Stick w/ it's better to be safe than sorry.

If you are uncomfortable because that's what they do, talk to a female manager. If they won't do anything about it, there's hundreds of other restaurants, put your two weeks in and bounce

I worked in the same mall a restaurant was filled with sexual harassment. It was in the news too, and the owners who are in their 70s sexually harassed and assaulted young female waitresses. The restaurant closed before 2016, and a lot of regulars were upset. I've been there only a few times and I saw a group of older men giving the younger waitress a hard time, and another lady intervened and told them to stop. There were lawsuits filed against the restaurant, but one dropped her lawsuit. I wonder why...
The true horror is finding a hair in your food at a restaurant , then having to send it back & then worrying if they’ve spat in the food lol.

Regarding the $100 dude, keep the bill and the note, along with a detailed description of what happened. Put it all in a sealed envelope and ask the owner of the restaurant to keep it in the safe. You don't have it, but he doesn't know it. A good lawyer can use it if that sketchy guy tries anything. And he likely will. Take self defense classes, carry pepper spray, a tazer and use it all if you must.

Candice Perry not that awesome I work 80+ hours a week I earn $2.13 an hour and most people only tip $1-$3 and sit for 30 min to an hour I only have 5 tables in my area the restaurant is small so on average I bring in $30 in a ten hour period and I’m the best waitress they have and the only one who has repeat customers
