    Very impressive Jim, please don't ever delete all your ECoS videos as I will definitely need to refer back to them when I am ready to setup mine :)

      Hi Dave..glad the vids are of some use , when I started the Esu vids in English there were virtually no videos on TH-cam.

    Brilliant....bloody, bloody brilliant!! Loved this vid very much. The Ecos system is superb. The layout is looking very good these days too so.....well done all round. Best regards, John.

      What your saying is, the ECOSYSTEM system can be programmed to operate trains and points to work automatically???
      That's class🚂🚂

    Good one Jim - just shows how powerful the ECoS is. Intersting in hindsight how it all builds up step by step. Still getting my Fulgurex installed and wired up...

    • @hovermotion
      @hovermotion  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      thanks...its a bit tricky setting up as there are no instructions on the stop over add on update for the ecos on the website or on the esu forums ...but it works very well

    That's only the second time I've seen the EcOs sYstem in action...
    It IS pretty incredible. For something THAT complex though, you'd think they would have better instructions though....
    Still, impressive!

      Thanks..its a great command station but it has many menus and sub menus and it took me some time to discover its features...

    Jim, very interesting presented !!

    Fantastic system! It might be complex but at least you have colour menus and submenus to have some idea where you're at... Very nice presentation Jim.
    So far the PC software I've tried out is cumbersome... Perhaps there is a clear and simple one out there but I have yet to find it.

    Another awesome demonstration - I'm definetly buying the Ecos now. I am hoping/aiming for a similar setup as yours, and all your vid's have but enforced my ideas/vision on my future N-scale layout. Hopefully I can begin the first leg within a month or so - I may do some vid's on my novice lvl progress ;o) Thanks

  • @ScottDowneywoundedbear

    They make all this stuff and then don't give guide lines on how to set it up. You are left to figure it out for yourself. Sometimes that can be fun but other times you can pull your hair out. The final product is fun to watch.

      hi Scott, it's great when it works in the end but trying to set it up with no instructions for the stop over add on {update} that esu did was tricky..

    What you have done here is perfect, fab job showing how the ECoS can work without expensive software. Does this mean for example you could run your DMU crossing in to and out of a main line were high high speed express loos operate on same line with a DMU time table to run between express loco operation. All on the ECoS ?

      Allan Alexander Hi Allan...The ecos can handel the routes once programed and multi shuttles with stop over stations...but only simple end to end shuttle routes.
      I have tried every thing the ecos can do ..e.g triggering routes and had two shuttes going etc on my inner main line station to the big station etc...it works great but its simple automation ,not many people unlock the full use of the ecos as its a bit tricky to get going with few videos showing how to do this.
      I now use tt gold as its very powerfull automation which makes adjustments of trains on the go if required so its impossible for trains to crash unless a point motor fails.
      I still like to use the ecos without firing up the p.c for my dmu.

    Hi Jim, been some time from my last post on Routes, I am now back into the track lay out and very close to producing routes on my ECoS, have you updated any of your you tube info on this subject, did you produce a step by step presentation to help set up routes. ?
    Regards
    Allan

      Thanks Dave...it was a pain to add a third station as i was using a complex route at first, it worked when i sent the train through the small stop over station once only...

  • @rvooyen
    @rvooyen 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    I now expect you to set up more routes and then timetables and then run to timetables with a fast clock. LOL. Hint, see my vlog 14 or so I think. Now we are talking!! Welcome to the club. Robert

    • @hovermotion
      @hovermotion  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Robert..lol..maybe ? i will check out your 14...I have no clue what to do next on the i-train program..maybe add the three feedbacks on the track plan blocks etc.
      at least I can use this simple automation on the ecos for now its great watching it work as you can just sit back and watch..I need to add all 16 feedbacks and maybe more as you say two per big platform for long tgv trains etc. , I can plug another feedback unit onto the one i have to make 32 feedbacks which i think i will need.,,,,..
      Jim...

      It was actually vlog 18. Testing the central control.

    • @rvooyen
      @rvooyen 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      hovermotion Re further. Start by dividing your track into blocks. Blocks are detectable pieces of track without points. Then create feedbacks to detect trains in a block. Then create routes or links between blocks with the necessary points and the required position to get from block a to b efc. At this point your PC sw should be able to run trains randomly, they usually have this. You can creat fixed routes by linking blocks together. Finally (fast) clock times can trigger block departures. Forget the ecos, except for manual control. Hope this helps. Robert

      Be nice if you would explain all the preliminairy setup. Questions like do you need to make a railplan or can you do without? How do you make contacts to rail. I use gauge one, two rail. Is it important on which rail you connect? How many brown (mass) do you need to add. Do you need to isolate track where you stop and start? So many questions that NOBODY, including ESU, addresses. I just want to see how it works from de left side of track to the right side, so about three meters.
