In my first year at conservatory we had to play an entire Beethoven sonata. I proposed this wonderful work by Weber instead, they agreed and were happily surprised, since then it has been in my repertoire, that's for more than 40 years now and I'm still in love with the piece.
Wunderschöne und warmherzige Interpretation dieser frühromantischen und perfekt komponierten Klaviersonate im veränderlichen Tempo mit klar artikuliertem doch elegantem Anschlag und mit künstlerisch kontrollierter Dynamik. Der zweite Satz klingt besonders schön und echt elegant. Im Kontrast klingt der dritte Satz echt lebhaft und auch beweglich. Wahrhaft intelligenter und genialer Pianist!
His piano works are greatly overshadowed. I appreciate you posting these! I would love to see a live production of Der Freischütz though, it was one of my favorite operas that I studied in my music history sequence.
@@steveegallo3384 they are though, when people think of C.M. von Weber they think of opera. But all I'm saying is that his piano works are just as serious and so pleasant to listen to.
