Next time you guys go to a Burmese restaurant see if they have tofu nwe noodles, spicy cabbage salad(side dish), milk tea, and fry their beef or chicken curry! My husband is Burmese and their food is sooooo good

Found you guys via Yelp. I'm excited to find other SGV peeps trying different foods! I've been a bit intimidated of SGV restaurants since I moved here 2 years ago. Keep the videos coming!!

😂 loved ur reactions to your first bite of the tea leaves! Reminds me of the 1st time I tried wasabi on its own by mistake lol

LOL it's such a surprising flavor, but i would say the wasabi is probably worse than the tea leaves with the first bite! haha

I believe the veg in monhinka is banana stem.

Crunchy vegetables in Mohinga Soup might be a banana tree ingredient!

The crunchy vegetable in Monthingha is not root guys. It's banana stem. You guys react nicely. ❤❤

If it's that bitter on it's own I think they didn't fully prepared it. The fished one should be able to eat on its own without the bitterness. You need to wash thoroughly with hot water to get rid of the bitterness and prepare it again with garlic, chilies, salt and lime juice. It's a annoying process but it's worth it.

In Myanmar, we have different types of tea leaf depending on where will use. There is bitter tealeaf dry and not dry, sweet tealeaf dry and not dry and sour tealeaf. Bitter tealeaf for green tea and use in making tea. Sweet tealeaf also use in tea. sour tealeaf use in tealeaf salad. 😁 Oh! BTW, Shan is known as Tai not Burmese. Thank for your trying. 😁 Warmly Welcome to come to Myanmar but not now may be in 2023. 😁❤️🇲🇲

Thanks for the info. Learning more everyday about different food and culture. We definitely want to a sour tea leaf one day, that sounds very unique.

Instead of using chopstick, put on some gloves and mix the tea leaf salad with hand ,it is much more delicious when you mix them well.
