    Thank you I’ve just watched this video as I’ve just bought this tool from your shop and lots of wood as during lockdown I actually put a dollshouse together and completely refurbished it. I bought it for £10 2 years ago. I wanted to do a dollshouse as my Dad made my sister and I one years ago. Unfortunately just lost my Dad so I’m dedicating this house to him and as he loved making things out of wood I’ve decided to make the furniture rather than buying it. Never done this before and came across your TH-cam videos so I’m really inspired and want to have a go at making all your kitchen pieces first. No idea how they are going to turn out but I’m really looking forward to giving it a go. So thank you once again for inspiring me x

      Hi Carole, it's so lovely that you're dedicating your dolls house to your Dad, that makes it all the more special and will inspire you as you go along. I'm so pleased you've decided to make all the furniture yourself and I'm sure you'll make a great job of it. Just take your time and learn as you go along. Happy Miniaturing! :)

    I just got one. If I had know you sold them I would have bought it from you. Great tip for the glazing upcycling. I am always on the lookout for things like That! I have been doing a fair bit of crochet again recently and I ordered some really small hooks and knitting needles so I will be having another attempt at the beautiful items you have on here. I started out doing 1:6th but over the course of the last couple of years, yourself, Ara Bentley and Heather Tracy have infected me with the 12th scale obsession! It's a fantastic hobby and I am so glad I found all your channels (Yourself, Ara and Heather and the multitude of other talented miniaturists).

    I've seen other mitre cutters, and this one seems to surpass them all. I just checked in your Etsy store a few days ago, and you are sold out of them I did DM you, and you promptly responded to me, and told told that you will be ordering and restocking next week so to check back. So I will be checking and making sure I get my order in quickly so that I can snag one of these!

    Boy! Could I use one of those! Cutting 45 degree mouldings for 36 rooms, 4 hallways and a mass of exterior embellishments is no picnic...................as a matter of fact, that is why I am so far behind - I keep messing up my cuts, even using a miter box, and now I am afraid of going forward because of waste. Mouldings ain't cheap! Thank you for the comprehensive "tour". Now I'm off to see if the Christmas budget will stand a personal gift for myself!

    • @georgecunningham9175
      @georgecunningham9175 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Just thought I'd add - Its a DONE DEAL! Just put in my order. Thank you Julie - its stretching my budget, but it will certainly "pay for itself" in saving aggravation as well as mouldings! Its nice to support you in exchange for the wonderful creativity and talent you share.
      BTW, this is the best deal on this tool - Ordering from the UK is less expensive than buying locally or on the most popular "bigbox" websites - about 14 USD cheaper!!!

    Why did you remove the spring when accessing the spare blades in the handle? This does not seem to be a required action. I have been looking for a miter shear like this with replaceable blades.

    • @JulieWarren
      @JulieWarren  ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not sure! But please don't do it, if you don't feel it's necessary!

    Hi Julie, I’ve just started crafting miniatures and I bought a ‘pin driver’ at the miniatura show. I’m not really sure how to use it, and what it can be used for. Could you do a video please?

    • @JulieWarren

    I am 73 yrs young, I love your work, however, after hours trying to learn the metric system so I could accurately recreate your projects, my brain said definitely No. So then I looked up your books. Again the dreaded metric system. I would pay for a pdf in the imperial system. PLEASE this is so important I want to make my Great Granddaughter a special dollhouse with your magnificent furniture before I meet my maker. Thank you in advance. I WILL PAY FOR THE IMPERIAL MEASUREMENTS FOR ALL OF YOUR PRODUCTS. YOU DONT HAVE TO MAKE ANOTHER VIDEO JUST SELL THE IMPERIAL MEASUREMENTS IN YOUR STORE I WOULD BUY THEM ALL. NEW REVENUE FROM MINDS ACROSS AMERICA. THANKS AGAIN.

    I bought another brand from Amazon. My hand isn't strong enough to use it. Then it wouldn't cut, it just smashed the wood leaving just a crease. Disappointed with it.
