Well this helped me very much. Got crdroid 8.4 up and running on my Poco F3 after the Android 12 update gave me wifi problems (random signal drops and such).
Have you tried crdroid 9.5?

One question munchy, do i need to update my devicd to the latest MIUI firmware? Or just download a new Miui firmware and flash it together with the Rom and Gapps, I'm currently on 12.0.6.

I'm trying to install crDroid v8.1 [05.02.2022], on POKO F3 with root, but after installing the rom I can't go back to tvrp to install gaps and format data, and it loads restoring crDroid and I don't know how to continue.
I use tvrp A12 3.2 skkk and MIUI 12.5.7 Global.
I'm asking for help!

Important question, is there a way to get crdroid to ask you to backup from google when setting up the phone? I have to manually reinstall everything and that is quite the hassle(I was running crdroid fine until it updated and never started again). Also, the latest update wiped twrp and installed crdroid recovery, what's up with that?

Nevermind, I figured it out. It depends on which version of the gapps you flash, you will only get the option to restore backups if you flash ”stock” or ”full” versions.

Hi Sir, is there a Costume Kernel for Poco F3 in official ROM MIUI?
i somehow got a bootloop after i flash the new version 20220425 of crdroid 8.4 (not on this video, its just release recently), luckily i fixed by reflashing the 20220419_8.4 that i recently use and it worked again and reflashing also Nikgapps (same goes to MAgisk)..
if im gonna flash almost same 8.4 but updated, do i need to flash again the firmware that i have? (since this is my first custom rom, i started custom rom when i updated my poco f3 to 13.0.2.0.SKHMIXM, Android 12) and after that, follow again the instruction on flashing the 2022045_8.4 update one, then reflash gapps and reflash magisk without reformat data?....

What happens if i unchecked the inject twrp after installing rom? Will my ofox recovery will change to Lineage recovery?
yes, it will be replaced with whatver recovery rom ships with

I used my internal storage and crdroid flashed fine, however, when I was going to flash gapps, the folder structure for the internal storage did not show up so I had to flash gapps from a flash drive. I have no idea why that happened as the system booted up perfectly, with the proper folder structure.
@Victor Ah okay, that makes sense. It's getting harder and harder to mess with your own phone these days, in a few years it might be all but impossible.
@@RondellKB you have to disable remove fingerprints, pins or any secure metod and you have to use TWRP recovery by skkk, good luck

So I need to get USB OTG adapter, and transfer the ROM file onto a USB drive. Then insert USB drive into OTG?

@@munchy_cool after rebooting to recovery after flashing rom, it just goes to fastboot and stays there, i can't go into custom recovery nor os. This happens after i try to flash custom rom. I know how to get out of it by flashing miui via mi flash tool. But do you have any fixes on why?

Munchy Bhai ....which can be the best replacement of poco F1. Facing random network signal vanishing very frequently. Got poco F1 software flashed once but again after 15 days same issue. No other issue.
Plz suggest the best replacement. Camera should be powerful and clean interface

When setting up my phone, this crdroid did not give an option of restoring from Google account, I had to manually redownload all my apps.
You have to flash Nick Gapps, minimum Omni

I eneded up figuring it out, I flashed the full Gapps but the system was moving extremely weird and wasn't downloading anything, even though I have 150MB + internet download speeds, I ended up flashing Evolution X instead, but the battery life sucks compared to Crdroid.

I don't have a usb otg device and have never used one. Some other solution for installing rom.
Mine worked fine from internal storage. I had to flash gapps from the flash drive though because my folder structure did not show up in twrp after flashing crdroid. Maybe you can get around that by booting into crdroid then rebooting into recovery.
@@RondellKB I did this too, moved crdroid ROM and gapps to internal storage. Flashed the ROM (installed to partition A) and now cannot install gapps. It's giving an error.
@@La_Vi_ You tried flashing gapps from the flash drive? If all fails you may just have to redo the whole process of installing the rom and gapps with the flash drive.
You can use dfe
That allows phone to stay decrypted and read the internal memory on any twrp or ofox recovery
But first time installation of dfe also requires a format data
After that, every time someone asks for format data, just flash dfe again and wipe data instead of formatting
Not only does it save your internal memory from getting wiped repeatedly but it also allows all recoveries to read internal memory on a12

If i want to select storage and when selecting internal storage (0MB) and USB-OTG (0MB)? What do?
Remove screen lock then try it
Use a recovery that can decrypt a12 like skk recovery
Or decrypt your device with dfe
And also if USB OTG shows 0 mb then reconnect your OTG and then reboot to recovery
PS skk recovery only reads internal memory if there's no screen lock. And no other recovery reads a12 internal memory on encrypted devices
