Well, I've been studying more of this. From my observations, the spouse appearance is to be judged from the D9 chart, not D1. The D1 just tells you the "general" aspects of marriage, such as will you get married or not, the quality or karma of the married life. It's just the rough draft. Everyone, from further research, in order to figure out spouse appearance, one MUST look at 7th houses FROM VENUS, because venus is the natural significator of marriage, spouse, girlfriend/wife for a man. Well, I've been studying more of this. From my observations, the spouse appearance is to be judged from the D9 chart, not D1. The D1 just tells you the "general" aspects of marriage, such as will you get married or not, the quality or karma of the married life. It's just the rough draft. The D9 chart gives vivid details about each planets of the D1 chart AND the actual details of the D1. D9 tells the vivid details about the marriage, the spouse, the appearance of spouse, etc. So, yes, the D9 tells the appearance of the spouse, if studied correctly. Thanks.

Whatever planet is 7th houses of venus in BOTH the D1 and D9 will give details of spouse appearance, such as skin color. For example, Venus conjunct Ketu, 7th from venus is RAHU and RAHU darkens the complexion or skin color. KETU gives light or pale skin color. That's why RAHU/KETU are opposite from each other.
