- My version of Williams T2 has the option to play through scenes from The Terminator and Terminator 2: Judgment Day, in new mission-based rules. The player makes the choice at the start of the game.
Here, I play through some of the original Terminator movie missions.
The core gameplay of the Williams original remains - multiball, payback, hurry up, loops...all playable out of mode. But as soon as any movie mission starts, the table locks down into movie mode.
I'm still working on this game, so there are missing movie clips, but trust me...this game is already freaking phenomenal.
I've seen many mods of this game, but no one will ever reprogram a Terminator the way I can....unless James Cameron suddenly starts making pinball games. Can't beat the man.
Ditch the ROM people, you don't need it. When unshackled from decades old code and sound design....you're free to use your unlimited imagination.
Fun fact: The first time I played this game was in Las Vegas at the GameWorks arcade on the strip. I was immediately disappointed that the game was nothing like the movie. Granner's music is ok, but no where near as cool as Brad Fiedel's stunning soundtrack. As soon as I had the opportunity, I knew I had to fix that. And this was the beginning of re-orchestrating old pinball games with new audio packages. Again, a first for ULTIMATE Pro Pinball, which years later became popular in the real world.
The table looks awesome & sound awesome can't wait to download it when it gets done.
