GTA lll is the reason. They thought it was the greatest video game ever and so they decided to turn their awesome and unique all original franchise into a copy cat cheap clone of gta 3.
@@HerotsLament Funny you say "All Original", when the first Jak and Daxter clearly copied a lot from Banjo-Kazooie N64 games and even Super Mario 64. I love the Jak and Daxter Series! but saying it's all Original is huge lie. Even Jak 2 & Jak 3 itself have more originality than Jak 1.
@@JMGO1999EternalMajorKakoEscoby Jak 2 and 3 are *weird* games, there's really nothing like them despite how clearly influenced they are by other games. You can make a straightforward Mario 64 clone and you can make a straightforward GTA clone but it turns out trying to copy two wildly different things at once is basically the same thing as originality.
Lol. This reminds me of a glitchy building in the slums (at least, in the PS2 version of the game). I call it the Crash Roof. If you go on top of it with a hovercar and change zones, the car will hit the roof. The car will gradually take more damage until it explodes. If you change zones above the wreckage of another hovercar, more of the vehicle can sink into the roof. If you do this just right and luck is on your side, Jak can fall into the building. The guards have a harder time reaching him in there. I still wonder why there’s a sound just before a car explodes that sounds like someone saying “toe”.
This takes me back to when we were all kids and we would lose control of a vehicle and, instead of taking a moment and looking for a solution to the problem, we'd just mash the accelerator to see what would happen next 😂
You should have tested what would have happened if you switched hover zones like that. Since it is upside down, it might have clipped you through the ground. That or it would just take you up normally and probably flip you around. I really don't know, It depends on how the hover zone mechanics work.
I am guilty of flying this big vehicles under the small ones and then increasing altitude to cause the smaller vehicle to lose control and explode off screen 😅
even as a kid i knew the physics of the cars were super wonky so i always tried some weird stuff with them. i sadly never managed to flip them upside down but i did manage to pull off a speedrunner strat without knowing it, using a car to clip through a wall
I wonder if you pressed R2 if you'd get to the upper lane, and drive just like that or if the game would clip you under the floor since you were upside down.
There's always something going on in sector nine...
As long as the suspect doesnt flee into sector 5 we all good
for some reason op center always needs to be advised that some krimson guard is on foot.
Yeah there's a guy on foot (be advised)
@Murfy_GreenBottle lol
“Seal off the area”
Finally, we’ve found the no hover zone 🤩
Yes!
😂
Jak passing through scraping upside-down
Krimzon Guard: I've got suspicious activities in this sector
Stuff like this is what makes Jak 2 an unforgettable experience.
Agreed
The explosion at the end was perfectly timed. Well done. Good laugh.
I just read that the SECOND I tapped on this video. TH-cam is THE WORST with spoilers.
@@GuiseppeLafauruie sorry... :
Haha yes. The cinematography of it all was beautiful. Chef’s kiss 🤌🏻
Jak driving back after having one too many at the Naughty Ottsel.
Let's just hope the age for drinking is 17 or the KG aren't gonna be too happy with this one
I loved that fantasy dystopian nightmare game and played the first game after the second, I was so confused about the sudden genre change.
It was the opposite for me, I started with Jak and Daxter and then got Jak 3, was so confused about why everyone suddenly had guns lol
@@Cakesadamanti screamed in joy as a kid when he spoke for the first time in 2...so for you to just hop to 3 you missed so much 😂

🎹 Making my way downtown, upside down, guards don't care, and I'm homebound... 🎹
0:45 when you can't afford a security alarm for your car, so you just blow it up to make sure no one steals it.
GTA: Flipped vehicle, is undrivable and explodes within ten seconds.
Jak II: Flipped vehicle, can still be driven for 30+ seconds before exploding.
It's not a bug, it's a damn feature
Australian Jak be like:
The fact that the car actually looks pretty cool this way to is to cool lol
This is how I drive to work every day.
Who let SpongeBob behind the wheel again.

well it got you where you wanted to go so it is effective
A fine technique, indeed.
I miss playing this game and being like 15 years old, simpler times

I’ve only seen my sister play it, but I forgot and love how this game is basically grand theft auto but with aliens
Pretty much. And some random platforming
we all love jak 2's driving physics
Daxter: do ya remember how to jump? PLEASE tell me you remember how to roooooll!

Missed opportunity to make toys of the zoomers. My favorite used to be that one but the three seater is all around the best
I agree

How nice of that guard to move out of the way like that
Jak doesn't need a hoverboard anymore.
That perfectly timed explosion XD Bahahaha
Ladies and gentlemen, the descendant of mar

insane to think sony wanted a gta vc competitor, told naughty dog of all studios to make it, saw this and send send it.

You'll get to the upper lane, stay up there and you'll eventually flip right-side up
